On the afternoon of November 26, at the receiving location for flood relief goods at the Labor Culture Palace, a group of students from Van Lang University handed over a 5-tael gold piece to a union official in Ho Chi Minh City. This was the gold piece that a student in the group picked up from a package while unpacking.

The person who directly picked up this piece of gold was Nguyen Thanh Trinh, a student majoring in Public Relations.
Sharing with Dan Tri reporter, Trinh said that in recent days, he and his group of friends have participated in dividing goods and packaging relief supplies to send to flood victims at the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Culture Palace.
This afternoon, while sorting things, Trinh was surprised to see a piece of gold fall out of a pocket of old clothes.
The male student recounted the moment he picked up the gold: “I couldn’t believe my eyes, I couldn’t believe I picked up gold in this situation. I was stunned for a moment, then I shouted: “I picked up gold, guys!”
Immediately afterwards, Trinh and his group of friends handed over the 5-tael gold piece to the union officials of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation to return it to the person who left it.

Sharing and returning lost property to the owner is a matter of course for most people, nothing to talk about. What makes him feel elated and incredulous is that he picked up gold and held it in his hand in an unexpected situation.
