Lam Dong province, with its beautiful blue sea, is attractive for the processing and manufacturing industry, supporting and auxiliary industries, seafood processing, and the deep processing of titanium minerals. In particular, some coastal areas are attracting large-scale energy projects such as: Son My I BOT thermal power plant (2,250 MW capacity), Son My II thermal power plant (2,250 MW capacity), and Son My LNG terminal (designed capacity of 3.6 million tons of LNG/year in phase 1 and increased to 6 million tons of LNG/year in phase 2).
Meanwhile, Lam Dong province, known for its abundance of flowers, has affirmed its strengths in developing agricultural processing industries, high-tech agriculture , and supporting industries for agriculture. It is also a hub for processing vegetables, flowers, fruits, coffee, tea, and producing functional foods from local ingredients. As for Lam Dong province, the focus is on developing industries related to the exploitation and processing of bauxite, alumina, and aluminum, and supporting industries related to aluminum smelting.
According to the Provincial Industrial Parks Management Board, Lam Dong province has established 15 industrial parks with a total area of nearly 4,270 hectares, attracting 228 projects to date (including 177 domestic projects and 51 foreign-invested projects). It is known that, with the development orientation of industrial parks and economic zones until 2030, and a vision to 2050, the entire province will have 34 industrial parks with a total area of nearly 18,840 hectares and one economic zone with a scale of approximately 27,000 hectares. The aim is to form a chain of industrial parks adjacent to Dong Nai province and Ho Chi Minh City in the Southern key economic region, thereby taking advantage of both geographical proximity and development space for the locality.
With the occupancy rate of existing industrial parks reaching approximately 50% and with continued consideration for expansion and the development of new industrial parks, it can be said that Lam Dong province still has many advantages to attract investment projects in the coming period. This is especially true for coastal industrial parks with convenient external transportation links and large areas such as: Son My 1 (1,070 ha), Son My 2 - phase 1 (468.35 ha), Ham Kiem II (433 ha)... Or some industrial parks expected to be established in the coming period, including Dak Ru (1,000 ha), Quang Son (1,000 ha), Dak Song I (1,000 ha), Dak Song II (1,000 ha), Tan Duc expansion (608 ha), Ham Tan - La Gi industrial park - urban - service area (2,984 ha)...
Besides implementing effective investment attraction solutions that are appropriate to the actual situation and strengths of each locality, the locality also demonstrates its commitment to supporting businesses. Recently, the Provincial People's Committee organized the 2025 Dialogue Conference with Businesses under the motto "Businesses need it - the government is there; businesses face difficulties - the government is there to help." Speaking at the conference, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi stated that this event was not simply a dialogue, but also a meeting for the government and businesses to share and better understand each other… Through this, many suggestions from businesses (including those in the province's industrial parks) were recorded, considered, or specifically addressed to resolve difficulties and obstacles in investment, production, and business activities.
At the groundbreaking ceremony for the Neotek Vietnam Industrial Park project (Ham Kiem II Industrial Park) held a few months ago, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Hai also affirmed that the success of businesses is always considered the success of the province. With the orientation of "Good infrastructure, good human resources, good policies, good public services," the locality always welcomes businesses to invest in the province and commits to accompanying and promptly resolving difficulties and obstacles. At the same time, it will create the most favorable conditions for businesses and investors to research and understand the investment environment, thereby deciding to invest in industrial parks to contribute to the socio-economic development of the province...
