Attracting tourists through festivals.

Việt NamViệt Nam08/09/2024

On the morning of September 3rd, Nguyen Dinh Chieu Street (Phan Thiet City) was heavily congested with tourist buses ranging from 4 to 45 seats heading towards Ho Chi Minh City. Even Vo Nguyen Giap Street, running parallel to Nguyen Dinh Chieu, was experiencing heavy traffic. Most of the vehicles bore license plates from Ho Chi Minh City, Lam Dong, Dong Nai, and Binh Duong provinces.

At the beach areas of Hon Rom, Ong Dia Rock, and Doi Duong (Phan Thiet city), many tourists swim and take photos before checking out of their hotels. Food and beverage businesses also attract tourists.

While Ham Tien and Mui Ne wards are famous for their hotels and resorts, NovaWorld Phan Thiet (Tien Thanh commune) is known to many tourists for its complex of entertainment, recreation, relaxation, and dining. NovaWorld Phan Thiet has become a major tourist attraction for the province.

Nguyen Dinh Chieu Street (Ham Tien Ward) is very busy with traffic.

In addition, Ham Thuan Bac district and Tanh Linh district are emerging destinations for ecotourism, agricultural tourism, outdoor tourism, and community tourism, contributing to the diversification of tourism products and becoming very popular destinations for tourists during holidays.

This year, on the occasion of Vietnam's National Day on September 2nd, NovaWorld Phan Thiet organized a water festival that attracted many young people.

Tourist Hoang Phuong Nam (Ho Chi Minh City) shared that NovaWorld Phan Thiet is very convenient for families with young children and adults to enjoy. Older adults can find a resort area with sea views, while children can enjoy the entertainment area. In the evening, there are live music performances. In addition, NovaWorld Phan Thiet also has a fresh seafood restaurant . Notably, on the evening of September 2nd, the resort will also host an artistic fireworks display.

In particular, recently, many tourists visiting Phan Thiet city have been choosing to try the local "specialty" dishes.

The area around Phan Thiet market is filled with cars carrying tourists who come inside to enjoy local dishes such as squid teeth, squid eggs, banh can (rice flour pancakes), grilled rice paper with shrimp paste, fish cake noodle soup, and banh quai vac (fried dough sticks)...

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Thuan province, during the National Day holiday (from August 31st to September 3rd), Binh Thuan province estimates a total of approximately 385,000 tourists visiting and staying in the province, a 3.3-fold increase compared to 2023.

Of these, approximately 9,700 were international visitors, generating revenue of around 510 billion VND. During the holiday period, the highest number of visitors was concentrated in the first three days, with average room occupancy rates reaching 80-95%, and many establishments achieving 100% occupancy.

During the holiday period, the Management Boards at tourist areas intensified regular inspections and rectified recreational activities on the sea; at the same time, units strengthened reminders and corrections to businesses and tourism establishments to strictly comply with regulations on deploying flags and buoys to delineate safe swimming areas, organize rescue forces and equipment effectively, and remind rescue teams to be on standby at locations with many tourists swimming in the sea.
