Binh Thuan tourism with its blue sea - white sand - golden sunshine has spread far and wide, becoming a safe, friendly and trusted destination for many tourists from all over the country and abroad. Especially in 2023, the Korean tourist market has grown strongly in Binh Thuan . Seizing this opportunity, the province has proactively built a development plan, considering Korea as a strategic market for marketing in the coming time.
Korean guests have "fallen in love"
Mr. Cha Se Young, General Director of KonDok Company (Korea) shared that: In 2023, he had the opportunity to come to Vietnam, Binh Thuan was one of the localities he visited and vacationed. “Coming to Binh Thuan, the first thing that impressed me was the “blue sea, white sand, yellow sunshine”… this place has many “heaven-sent” scenic spots and quality infrastructure. Especially the pleasant climate, peaceful life, avoiding the hustle and bustle of big cities. I will come back soon”, said Mr. Cha Se Young.
Not only Mr. Cha Se Yuong, but these days at tourist attractions in the province, it is easy to see images of Korean tourists coming to Binh Thuan. Ms. Park Su Jin said that she has traveled to many places in the world. In early 2024, she chose Binh Thuan as her destination for her trip to Vietnam. “The weather in Binh Thuan is cool, windy and sunny, I was attracted to the thrilling sport of surfing. That is why I spent time learning and being guided by coaches. I did well in this sport. This is truly a wonderful experience during my trip to Binh Thuan,” said Ms. Park Su Jin.
Currently, Binh Thuan with Mui Ne is one of the new destinations that receives a lot of attention from tourists from Korea with unique experiences such as: Watching the sunrise on the endless white sand dunes in the early morning; challenging yourself in the beautiful golf courses with almost 100% of the golf holes facing the vast blue ocean; or enjoying seafood specialties in coastal resorts hidden behind the coconut trees of the tropics... According to statistics from the Binh Thuan tourism industry, in 2023, the province had 240,000 international visitors coming to visit and relax, of which 1/4 were tourists from the land of Kim Chi. This is a good sign, because compared to previous years, up to this point, the number of Korean visitors has begun to increase, accounting for the highest proportion in the structure of international visitors to Binh Thuan.
Seize the opportunity to attract "Kim Chi" customers
However, it must be recognized that currently, Korean tourists mainly travel through travel agencies, while the tourism image of Binh Thuan in Korea is still very limited. Tourists almost completely depend on the tour schedules of construction companies.
Recently, the provincial delegation led by Mr. Nguyen Minh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, had a working trip to Korea to discuss cooperation in promoting Binh Thuan culture and tourism, in which the highlight was that the province coordinated with the Vietnam National Tourism Administration to organize the Binh Thuan Tourism Promotion Conference in Korea. This is also the first time Binh Thuan has organized this conference in this "Kim Chi" country.
At the conference, many leading tourism businesses in Binh Thuan introduced typical, unique, attractive tourism products and services and stimulus programs to attract Korean tourists. From there, Korean tourism businesses and Korean people will have more information about destinations, products and services to build tourism programs to Binh Thuan. Mr. Ly Xuong Can - Vietnam Tourism Ambassador in Korea said: Binh Thuan can be likened to "The Princess just woke up". With the positive response of the Vietnamese Government through preferential policies along with rich tourism resources, he hopes that Binh Thuan province will have tourism development policies following the model of discovering unique and distinctive features only in Binh Thuan. "I would like to suggest a tourism product for the elderly aged 60 and over to experience living in Binh Thuan for a period of 1-3 months called "Silver Tour", the Vietnam Tourism Ambassador shared.
Or Mr. Hwang Kyu Seon - Chairman of the Korean Tourism Industry Development Association said: This tourism introduction conference is a meaningful event and to be able to organize a successful event like this, we must mention the efforts and cooperation of the People's Committee of Binh Thuan province. Especially Mui Ne will be a promising tourism development destination in the future. "However, to strongly develop Binh Thuan's tourism market in Korea, Binh Thuan needs to actively cooperate with travel companies as well as Korean media to develop tourism products and advertise more to Korean tourists", Mr. Hwang Kyu Seon said.
Acknowledging the above "suggestions", Vice Chairman of Binh Thuan Province Nguyen Minh affirmed: In order for Binh Thuan tourism promotion activities in Korea to be practical and effective, the People's Committee of Binh Thuan Province will accompany localities and tourism businesses in the province to commit to building preferential policies, promotional programs, and special discounts for Korean tourism businesses bringing tourists to Binh Thuan. In addition, it will focus on building new, attractive tourism programs and products that suit the needs of Korean people. "With a positive and cooperative spirit, in the coming time, we hope that Korean businesses and travel companies will pay more attention and cooperate more closely, contributing to the development of tourism in Binh Thuan in particular and Vietnam tourism in general".

We believe that in the coming time, Korean tourists will not only know about tourist destinations such as Da Nang, Nha Trang, but Binh Thuan will also become an ideal destination for Korean tourists.
