Attracting artistic talent into the Army, encouraging artists to stick with their profession

According to the Ministry of National Defense, on behalf of the Central Military Commission and the leaders of the Ministry of National Defense, General Luong Cuong commended and congratulated the achievements of 22 artists who were recently awarded the titles of "People's Artist" and "Meritorious Artist" for the 10th time in 2024.

General Luong Cuong emphasized that in the coming time, the task of building a revolutionary, disciplined, elite, and modern Vietnam People's Army has posed new and very high requirements.

The army is not only equipped with increasingly modern weapons, officers and soldiers who are deeply aware of the Party's goals and ideals and have high combat skills, but also must be a force with strength from the roots of national culture and the noble qualities and images of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", knowing how to be creative, enjoy culture and art in a sophisticated way, have a rich and healthy spiritual life; contributing to creating strong spiritual motivation, enthusiastically competing to excellently fulfill the functions and tasks of "the fighting army, the working army, the production labor army" in the new period.

General Luong Cuong requested that Party committees, leaders and commanders at all levels continue to thoroughly grasp the Party's viewpoints and policies, and the State's laws and policies on building and developing culture and arts; seriously implement Conclusion No. 1172 dated June 16, 2022 of the Central Military Commission on "Continuing to strengthen leadership and direction of cultural, literary and artistic work in the new period".

Thereby, it arouses the potential, creativity and dedication of artists so that there will be more and more good works with high artistic value, reflecting, promoting, motivating and encouraging the spirit of soldiers in training, combat readiness, fighting, working, studying and producing.

Agencies and units need to regularly pay attention to building a team of cadres, artists and actors with strong political will, good expertise, high responsibility and dedication to the cultural and artistic cause of the Party and the Army.

The competent agencies of the Ministry of National Defense continue to research, advise, propose, and perfect mechanisms and policies for developing cultural and artistic resources in accordance with reality to attract artistic talents to the Army and encourage and motivate Army artists to love and stick with their profession.

For artists, General Luong Cuong hopes that, regardless of their position, field, or working environment, artists will continue to be exemplary, uphold their responsibilities, actively practice, improve their professional qualifications, create works of art with ideological themes, profound artistry, and high fighting spirit, vividly reflecting the themes of the armed forces, revolutionary war, and national construction and defense; strongly spreading the noble image of "Uncle Ho's soldiers".

Along with that, artists need to effectively participate in cultural and artistic activities to serve the political tasks of the Party, the country, the Army, and the spiritual and cultural life of soldiers and people, truly being the core force, taking the lead in building cultural life and organizing cultural and artistic activities of the entire army and the entire country.
