WEF Tianjin 2025 is an important, large-scale event of the World Economic Forum, considered a forum for "pioneers", to evaluate and discuss new trends and major issues facing the global economy, promote international cooperation, especially public-private cooperation contributing to economic growth and sustainable development.
Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Minh Hang said that Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's visit is of great significance. This is the third consecutive year that Vietnam has been invited by the host country China and the World Economic Forum to attend the forum of "pioneers".
This affirms China's importance to the Vietnam-China Comprehensive Cooperative Partnership, the international community's appreciation of Vietnam's development achievements, strategic development orientations, potential, position and international prestige.
The Government and Prime Minister's management as well as the important contributions, demonstrating the Prime Minister's strategic thinking and vision at the WEF Conferences over the past three years, have also left a deep impression on the international community, especially the World Economic Forum and its member businesses.
The Vietnamese delegation will have many important activities at the conference and work in China. The Prime Minister will attend as a Special Guest the policy dialogue session with the President of WEF Tianjin, deliver a keynote speech at the discussion session “Is the Asian Century Facing Challenges?” and attend the opening session of the conference.
The Prime Minister will have many meetings and dialogues with leaders of countries, international organizations, and leading corporations to promote economic cooperation, expand and diversify export markets, attract investment, promote cooperation in new strategic areas, and maximize resources to serve the implementation of national growth and development goals.

This is the first working trip to China by a key Vietnamese leader in 2025. The Prime Minister's working trip takes place in the context of the strong, comprehensive and substantive development of the relationship between the two Parties and countries, taking place at a time when the two countries are actively implementing diverse and rich activities in the Vietnam-China Humanitarian Exchange Year 2025 to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
During bilateral activities with China, the Prime Minister will hold talks with senior Chinese leaders; attend the Vietnam-China Business Forum; work with leaders of major Chinese corporations; meet with the Vietnamese community and students in China; and spend time surveying economic and social facilities, learning about China's economic development model such as the stock exchange, free trade zones, etc.
