Quan Van Chuan is one of the best goalkeepers at the age of 22 in Vietnamese football at the moment. There is a high possibility that he will be named in coach Philippe Troussier's team to participate in the 32nd SEA Games in Cambodia.
The goalkeeper said: "The closer the SEA Games are, the more the players in the U22 Vietnam team have to work hard to prepare for the tournament. Coach Troussier requires us to concentrate and try our best."

"The goal of U22 Vietnam is to win the championship. We will try our best in each match, but I personally want to keep a clean sheet from the beginning to the end of the tournament" - Quan Van Chuan added.
Currently, the U22 Vietnam team has 31 players, while the registration regulations for the SEA Games men's football event only allow each team to have 20 players. Therefore, Coach Troussier will have to shorten the list before leaving for Cambodia to attend the Southeast Asian Games .
Regarding the shortlist of the national team in the coming time, the goalkeeper currently playing for Hanoi FC said: "Every player is trying their best to be on the list for this year's SEA Games. We will fight with all our might. For me personally, I will try my best and wait for what will come to me."
Defending high balls is a focus of the U22 Vietnam team, after the Doha Cup (Photo: Nam Anh).
"Since returning from the Doha Cup, the whole team has improved, especially in coordination. I personally try to best meet the coach's requirements" - still the words of goalkeeper Quan Van Chuan.
Also at the Doha Cup at the end of March, the ability to defend against high balls was the weakest ability of U22 Vietnam, stemming from our physical strength being inferior to our opponents.
Currently, according to goalkeeper Quan Van Chuan, that weakness is gradually being overcome, after the team added a number of players with good physiques, plus the fact that most opponents in Southeast Asia are not taller than Vietnamese players.
Goalkeeper Quan Van Chuan said: "I think U22 Vietnam will be able to handle aerial battles. This is not a big problem because in Southeast Asia, the height of Vietnamese players is currently relatively good."
