Import-export budget revenue for 11 months of 2024 exceeded the estimate

Nearly 385,000 billion VND is the total budget revenue from import-export activities that the Customs sector has just announced. This revenue result has increased by 14.8% compared to the same period last year and exceeded the estimate.

The General Department of Customs has just informed about the budget collection situation in November and 11 months of 2024.

Industry statistics show that state budget revenue from import-export activities in November 2024 reached VND 37,288 billion, down 5.5% compared to the previous month. The implementation results of November brought state budget revenue from import-export activities in the first 11 months of 2024 to VND 384.7 billion, equal to 102.6% of the estimate and up 14.8% over the same period last year.

The bustling import-export activities in the past 11 months have boosted budget revenue. According to the General Department of Customs, the total value of import-export goods in November 2024 reached 66.4 billion USD, down 4.1% (equivalent to a decrease of 2.83 billion USD) compared to the previous month.

Of which, the export value reached 33.73 billion USD, down 5.3% (equivalent to a decrease of 1.9 billion USD) and the import value reached 32.67 billion USD, down 2.8% (equivalent to a decrease of 933 million USD). Vietnam's trade balance of goods in November 2024 had a surplus of 1.06 billion USD.

In the first 11 months of 2024, the total import-export value reached 715.55 billion USD, up 15.4% (equivalent to an increase of 95.32 billion USD) over the same period last year. Of which, the export value reached 369.93 billion USD, up 14.4% (equivalent to an increase of 46.7 billion USD) and the import value reached 345.62 billion USD, up 16.4% (equivalent to an increase of 48.62 billion USD).

Vietnam's trade balance of goods in the first 11 months of 2024 had a surplus of 24.31 billion USD, 7.3% lower than the surplus of 26.24 billion USD in the same period last year.

Currently, some local Customs Departments have confirmed that they have completed the 2024 budget collection much earlier than expected.

Specifically, as of November 25, the total state budget revenue at Dong Nai Customs Department was VND 19,191 billion, reaching 102.3% of the assigned estimate, up 13.8% over the same period in 2024.

Meanwhile, from the beginning of the year to November 30, Hai Phong Customs Department collected VND 69,245.1 billion in budget revenue, reaching 104.14% of the assigned target, an increase of VND 9,210 billion, equivalent to an increase of 15.34% over the same period in 2023. .

In 2024, the General Department of Customs was assigned by the National Assembly to collect a state budget of VND375,000 billion. Thus, the budget revenue in the past 11 months has exceeded the estimate by nearly ten billion VND.
