Accordingly, two working groups of the Project collected blood samples to determine the DNA of the families of the three martyrs: Nguyen Van Thien, Po Go Gia, and Ha Van Man, including their relatives: their mothers; the children of their sisters; and their siblings born to the same mother. The results of the blood sample collection will be used to integrate the DNA information onto their identity cards.
The task force is collecting DNA samples for the relatives of fallen soldiers in Than Uyên district.
On this occasion, the working groups also presented gifts to the mothers of fallen soldiers who participated in the DNA sample collection.
Leaders of the Administrative Police Department for Social Order (Provincial Police) presented gifts to the mother of a fallen soldier participating in DNA sample collection in Lai Chau city.
Collecting DNA samples from relatives of fallen soldiers whose information has not yet been identified is the first and most crucial step in the process of identifying the remains of these soldiers whose identities are still unknown. This activity carries profound humanitarian significance, demonstrating the gratitude of the Party, the State, and the people of Vietnam for the immense contributions and sacrifices of the heroic martyrs for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.
Task Force No. 1 collected samples from the sister of martyr Nguyen Van Thien (Group 15, Lai Chau City).
This activity is an important part of the overall effort to identify the remains of martyrs whose identities are still unknown, profoundly demonstrating the principle of "drinking water, remembering the source."
