Award Ceremony for Journalism Articles on the Electricity Sector in Lai Chau Province

Attending the awards ceremony were: Mr. Tong Thanh Hai - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Ms. Dao Bich Van - Provincial Party Committee Member, Director of Lai Chau Newspaper and Radio and Television; representatives of the leadership of several provincial departments and agencies; the Board of Directors of Lai Chau Power Company; the authors and groups of authors whose works were submitted to the competition, along with officials and employees of the power industry in the province.

After a period of launching the Lai Chau Electricity Sector Journalism Award with the theme "Lighting Up the Highlands" (from December 19, 2024 to November 15, 2025), the Organizing Committee received nearly 100 entries from central and local press agencies and the Lai Chau Electricity Sector. These included 55 entries in print and online journalism; 14 entries in radio and television; and 22 entries in photojournalism.

The Organizing Committee has judged and selected 34 works in various categories. The print and online journalism category has 17 winning entries, including: 1 A prize, 2 B prizes, 3 C prizes, 5 consolation prizes, and 6 winning entries for their significant contributions to the dissemination of information about the Lai Chau Electricity sector. The radio and television category has 10 winning entries, including: 1 A prize, 2 B prizes, 3 C prizes, and 4 consolation prizes. The photojournalism category has 7 winning entries, including: 2 B prizes, 2 C prizes, and 3 consolation prizes.

Comrade Tong Thanh Hai - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, delivered a speech at the award ceremony.

Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Tong Thanh Hai - Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - congratulated the authors and groups of authors whose outstanding works were honored and awarded prizes. He highly appreciated the role of the press as well as the contributions of the electricity sector to the overall development of the province; and expressed confidence that, with a spirit of responsibility, innovation, and creativity, the Lai Chau electricity sector and the press agencies will continue to achieve even more success in the future.

Building on the achievements, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Lai Chau Electricity sector to continue to thoroughly understand the Party's guidelines and the State's policies and laws; focus on investing in the development of a synchronous and modern electricity infrastructure; improve customer service quality; promote digital transformation and the application of science and technology , aiming for the goal of providing safe, stable, and sustainable electricity. He also urged strengthening coordination with media agencies, proactively providing timely and transparent information; creating favorable conditions for reporters to work and fully and objectively reflect all aspects of the sector's activities. He encouraged media agencies, journalists, and reporters to continue to work alongside Lai Chau province and the Electricity sector; play a leading role in the ideological and cultural front; spread positive values, contribute to social consensus, and encourage the emulation movement in labor and production, building a more developed Lai Chau province...

At the ceremony, the Organizing Committee presented awards to the authors and groups of authors.
