Average income per capita of Ai Nghia town residents reached 79 million VND

Delivering a speech at the commemoration ceremony, the Party Secretary and Chairman of the People's Council of Ai Nghia town, Mr. Dang Ngoc Dung, recalled the glorious and heroic traditions of fighting and defeating foreign invaders in his heroic homeland. At the historic moment 40 years ago, on August 24, 1984, the Chairman of the Council of Ministers (now the Government ) issued Decision No. 110 on adjusting administrative boundaries and establishing Ai Nghia town on the basis of the former Dai Phuoc commune, merging parts of the administrative boundaries and population of neighboring communes including Dai Nghia, Dai Hiep, Dai Hoa, and Dai An. Also during this period, the provisional Party Committee of the town was established, consisting of 3 subordinate branches with 54 party members.

After several mergers and adjustments to administrative boundaries, Ai Nghia town now has a total natural area of 12.74 ^km² , divided into 9 neighborhoods, with a population of over 22,000 people. The town's Party Committee has nearly 600 members with 17 subordinate branches.

During the period from 1984 to 2005, the total value of production in the town increased by an average of 9% per year, while in the years from 2006 to 2023, it increased by an average of 16% per year. The economic structure has shifted in a positive direction, with the proportion of industry, handicrafts, basic construction, and services accounting for 96.6% of the economic structure. Average per capita income at the end of 2023 reached 79 million VND, 13.5 times higher than at the time of Ai Nghia town's establishment. Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Hao, Secretary of the District Party Committee and Chairman of the District People's Council of Dai Loc district, said that in implementing Resolution No. 05, dated December 6, 2016, of the Dai Loc District Party Committee on leading the construction of Ai Nghia town to meet the standards of a type IV urban area, the locality has so far achieved 84.25 points out of 100 standard points and is currently striving to complete the remaining 8 criteria to soon meet the standards of a type IV urban area.
