Binh Xuyen High School has 690 candidates taking the 2024 High School Graduation Exam with 29 exam rooms. Vinh Yen High School has 525 candidates registered to take the exam with 23 exam rooms.

According to Mr. Nguyen Hung Manh, Principal of Binh Xuyen High School, over the past years, the school has organized the 10th grade entrance exams and high school graduation exams safely and seriously, without any incidents. For the 2024 exam, up to this point, the school has fully prepared, ensuring security, safety and having contingency plans for unexpected situations.

Teacher Nguyen Thi Mai Chang, Principal of Vinh Yen High School, said: In addition to the work of thoroughly understanding the regulations, rules, reviewing, and preparing conditions for organizing the exam, the school has made a list and phone numbers of students and parents in case candidates, due to objective reasons, cannot arrive at the exam site on time to have a support plan.

At the examination sites of Binh Xuyen High School and Vinh Yen High School, Deputy Minister Pham Ngoc Thuong and inspection team No. 1 of the National Steering Committee inspected the council room, official examination rooms, backup examination rooms, examination storage rooms, and visited students' review classes.

Encouraging students before the exam, Deputy Minister Pham Ngoc Thuong wished them good health and confidence to enter the exam with the best results. The Deputy Minister shared that the Government , the Ministry of Education and Training, ministries, branches and localities are preparing the best conditions for students to confidently participate in the exam. Students should pay attention to reviewing according to the instructions of teachers and follow the regulations to achieve the desired results.

Regarding the examination sites, the Deputy Minister highly appreciated the preparation work on the conditions for organizing the examination and the review work for students; at the same time, he noted that the examination sites must absolutely not be subjective, even the smallest things must be checked and anticipated. The preparation must be thorough, thoughtful and create the most favorable conditions for the candidates.

"With good facilities, experience and responsibility, the testing sites will organize safe and serious exams," the Deputy Minister emphasized.

According to the report of the Vinh Phuc Provincial Examination Steering Committee, in 2024, the whole province will have 30 examination sites, an increase of 4 examination sites compared to the 2023 examination. The number of candidates registered for the 2024 examination is 15,563 candidates, an increase of 1,470 candidates compared to the 2023 examination.

Preparations for the 2024 High School Graduation Exam in Vinh Phuc province have been closely directed. Coordination between forces, preparation of facilities for organizing the exam, organization of exam registration, and exam venues have been carried out seriously, closely and effectively.

All 30 examination sites have been reviewed and inspected, and to date have met all the conditions for organizing the Graduation Exam safely and in accordance with regulations. The plan for delivering and preserving examination papers and test papers at the examination sites is guaranteed to be safe, secure, and in accordance with regulations.

Vinh Phuc province has also fully prepared for the exam supervision work. Of which, the total number of exam rooms is expected to be 706 (676 official rooms, 30 backup rooms); the number of staff participating in the exam supervision work is expected to be 2,509 people. Each district is expected to send 50 staff, secondary school teachers, with 141 people left for backup.

In addition, contingency plans in case of natural disasters, storms, floods and epidemics have been developed by the examination sites in coordination with agencies, organizations and localities to be ready for implementation when unusual situations occur.

Emphasizing the two keywords identified by Vinh Phuc province as the focus in organizing the exam are “thoughtful” and “safe”, Mr. Vu Viet Van said: We identify this as a “campaign”, we must be meticulous and hard-working to get results and must do our best to fulfill our responsibilities. “The general spirit of the province is to be receptive and serious; not to create tension but not to be negligent or subjective”, Mr. Vu Viet Van shared.

Vinh Phuc is one of the localities that established a provincial steering committee and issued a directive on local exams early. The locality also paid attention to the direction, supervision and inspection work with a thoughtful spirit towards the industry, students, parents and officials participating in the exam.

Recalling the scale, nature and objectives of the High School Graduation Exam, the Deputy Minister said: 2024 is the exam for the last generation of students studying under the 2006 generaleducation program. This is a nationwide exam, the results of which serve the purpose of high school graduation, as a basis for university and college admissions and assessment of education quality, so the exam always receives great attention from society.

“In the preparation process for the Exam, the National Steering Committee hopes that localities will thoroughly understand the basic content of the Prime Minister's Directive,” sharing this, Deputy Minister Pham Ngoc Thuong emphasized 5 groups of issues: Close and comprehensive direction; smooth, efficient and effective coordination; thoughtful and thorough preparation; organization in accordance with procedures and regulations; proactive and timely communication, providing full information, and transparency.

Noting some of the next tasks, Deputy Minister Pham Ngoc Thuong requested the Vinh Phuc Provincial Examination Steering Committee to continue to inspect and supervise at examination sites, proactively prepare backup plans, focus on coordination and pay attention to personnel selection.

"No matter how advanced the support equipment is, if people intentionally violate it, it is still unavoidable," the Deputy Minister noted and suggested that localities pay attention to training to raise awareness and provide full information about the consequences when errors and violations occur.

With unprecedented situations that may occur, the Deputy Minister emphasized that it is important not to arbitrarily handle unusual situations and that the handling principles must be based on the spirit of the students' interests.

“Up to this point, it can be affirmed that Vinh Phuc province's direction and preparation for the exam are proactive, thoughtful and ready to organize the exam. We believe that Vinh Phuc province will organize the 2024 High School Graduation Exam in the best way, contributing to the success of the national exam,” said the Deputy Minister.
