Procedures for exchanging and returning train tickets for Lunar New Year 2024 for employees

With this content, the railway industry regulates the time and fee for changing and returning train tickets for the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin 2024 depending on the train brand and route the passenger has purchased the ticket.

Accordingly, during the peak Tet holiday period, the deduction rate for ticket exchange and return is 30% of the price printed on the Train Pass for train tickets during the period: From February 1 to 12, 2024 for even-numbered trains and from February 13 to 19, 2024 for odd-numbered trains.

From February 4 to 9 for odd-numbered train tickets, the departure station is Hanoi station and the arrival station is from Phu Ly station to Dong Hoi station. From February 13 to February 18 for even-numbered train tickets, the departure station is from Dong Hoi station to Phu Ly station and the arrival station is Hanoi station.

For ticket exchange and return time, passengers with individual tickets must exchange or return tickets 24 hours or more before the train departure time stated on the ticket. Group tickets must be exchanged or returned 48 hours or more before the train departure time stated on the ticket.

In addition, the railway industry applies a discount rate for changing and returning train tickets. When changing tickets, passengers with individual tickets must change them 24 hours or more before the train departs, the fee is 20,000 VND/ticket; changing tickets does not apply to group tickets.

When returning tickets, passengers with individual tickets must return tickets 24 hours or more before the train departs with a fee of 10% of the ticket price, from 4 hours to less than 24 hours the fee is 20% of the ticket price, less than 4 hours no ticket return is applicable.

Passengers with group tickets must return their tickets 72 hours or more before the train departs with a fee of 10% of the ticket price, from 24 hours to less than 72 hours the fee is 20% of the ticket price, less than 24 hours no refund is applicable.
