Prime Minister meets many heads of state and senior leaders of countries in Russia

(Dan Tri) - Meeting with heads of state and senior leaders of countries within the framework of the expanded BRICS Conference in Russia, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh made many proposals for cooperation and promoting relations in all fields.
On the evening of October 23 (local time), within the framework of activities attending the expanded BRICS Leaders' Summit in Kazan (Russia), Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh met and had bilateral contacts with many heads of state and senior leaders of countries. Meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan , Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed the importance of the good friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Turkey. He hoped that Turkish businesses would pay more attention to investing in Vietnam. The Turkish President and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh also agreed to increase exchanges and contacts between the two countries' senior leaders, soon elevate and deepen the bilateral relationship. At the same time, the leaders of the two sides agreed to promote economic and trade relations commensurate with their potential, strive to soon achieve the bilateral turnover target of 4 billion USD, and at the same time study and form new frameworks to further facilitate trade and investment. The two leaders affirmed that they will expand cooperation in other areas, including defense cooperation, and facilitate travel between citizens of the two countries. Regional and international issues of mutual concern, including the recent escalation of tensions in the Middle East, were also mentioned by the two leaders, and they affirmed that they will strengthen coordination at regional and international cooperation forums in the coming time. At the meeting with the President of Kazakhstan , Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed that Kazakhstan is an important partner of Vietnam in the Central Asia region. "Vietnam always attaches importance to and wishes to further strengthen the traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation between Vietnam and Kazakhstan," the Prime Minister emphasized. The two leaders agreed to increase the exchange of high-level delegations and all levels; promote economic, trade and investment cooperation, and strive to increase trade turnover between the two countries to a higher level. Creating favorable conditions for cooperation in transportation, aviation, tourism and people-to-people exchange between the two countries is also the direction agreed upon by the two leaders. In particular, the Prime Minister hopes that the two sides can more effectively exploit the potential for cooperation in trade and investment; promote tourism, cultural exchange, and people-to-people exchange. The President of Turkmenistan highly appreciated the role and position of Vietnam and the achievements Vietnam has made in the cause of national renewal and development. He agreed to implement measures to promote the traditional relationship between the two countries in the coming time, especially promoting the exchange of delegations and high-level contacts, and finding solutions to strengthen bilateral economic cooperation. With Ethiopia , Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed that Vietnam wishes to further strengthen multifaceted cooperation with Ethiopia, one of Vietnam's important partners in the African region. He proposed that the two sides strengthen cooperation in potential areas such as trade, investment and agriculture . Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed also affirmed that he attached great importance to relations with Vietnam and was impressed with Vietnam's socio-economic development achievements. Appreciating Vietnam's position and role in the international arena, Mr. Abiy Ahmed agreed that the two sides should further promote bilateral cooperation in the coming time. Meeting with Lao General Secretary andPresident Thongloun Sisoulith on the same day, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed that Vietnam will continue to stand side by side and support Laos to the best of its ability to help Laos overcome current challenges and difficulties. After informing each country about the socio-economic development situation, the two leaders agreed to soon direct relevant agencies of the two countries to accelerate the implementation of major projects to connect the two economies of Vietnam - Laos, as well as connect the three economies of Vietnam - Laos - Cambodia. Expanding cooperation in the fields of national defense and security, economy and trade was also the direction mentioned by the two leaders. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Lao General Secretary andPresident Thongloun Sisoulith affirmed that they always attach importance to and give the highest priority to the Vietnam - Laos relationship. The two sides consider this a priceless asset, a top priority and a vital factor for the revolutionary cause of the two countries.
