The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has just issued a statement saying that, at the invitation of Chinese Premier Li Qiang and Founder and Executive Chairman of the World Economic Forum (WEF) Klaus Schwab, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will pay an official visit to China and attend the 14th Annual Meeting of WEF Pioneers from June 25 to 28.
In recent times, Vietnam and China have regularly exchanged and contacted at high levels in many flexible forms, contributing significantly to enhancing political trust between the two Parties and two countries.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's visit took place after the successful and historic visit of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong to China in late October 2022. The relationship between the two Parties and two countries is entering a new stage of development with many opportunities and advantages.
This will be the first face-to-face meeting between Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Chinese Premier Li Qiang.
In early April, the two Prime Ministers had a phone call. During the phone call, the two Prime Ministers agreed that the traditional friendship of "both comrades and brothers" between Vietnam and China, personally built and nurtured by President Ho Chi Minh, Chairman Mao Zedong and previous generations of leaders of the two countries, is a valuable common asset of the two Parties, which the two countries need to continuously inherit, protect and promote. The two Prime Ministers emphasized the importance of bilateral relations for the development of each country as well as peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world.
