At Viet Duc Hospital, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh visited, encouraged and presented Tet gifts to patients receiving emergency treatment at the hospital's Emergency Clinic. Talking to doctors and nurses, the Prime Minister kindly asked about the emergency treatment of accident cases during Tet and encouraged doctors and nurses to make more efforts in emergency treatment and treatment of patients.
After listening to the leaders of Viet Duc Hospital report on the plan for on-duty and medical examination and treatment during Tet, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh sent all doctors, medical staff, civil servants, employees, and patients' families his thanks, kind regards, and best wishes for the New Year.
The Prime Minister stated that we are all focused on ensuring that people enjoy a happy and reunited Tet. However, there are still some patients and doctors who cannot return home. The Prime Minister shared the hardships of the patients' families during this Tet holiday.
To the doctors, the Prime Minister stated: “As long as there are patients, doctors cannot rest. Uncle Ho taught that “Doctors are like kind mothers”, and that we must take care of patients like our own relatives, and that the pain of the patient is our own pain. We must sacrifice for the common joy of the country and the family.”
The Prime Minister stated that Viet Duc Hospital is a frontline hospital in surgery, a pioneer in expertise, and the last line of treatment. Therefore, the medical staff must be clearly aware that this is a responsibility and a noble mission, and must do well and treat patients promptly. At the same time, the hospital needs to summarize the practical experience, especially during this Tet holiday, to disseminate and propagate.
The Prime Minister also requested that during these Tet holidays, Viet Duc Hospital should actively care for patients, especially prioritizing the reception and active treatment of patients above all; organizing on-call and admission services must be done well, most responsibly, receiving as quickly, promptly and as high as possible, "right away". Be ready to be on-call, prepare adequate equipment and facilities, meet requirements for medicine, and promptly handle unexpected problems; actively support lower-level facilities in terms of expertise, especially remote medical examination and treatment; ensure nutrition for patients, especially those living far from home or in the countryside.
The Prime Minister requested local authorities and functional forces to strictly control the burning and transporting of firecrackers to help limit injuries caused by firecrackers; the media must also actively promote this issue so that people do not burn firecrackers and do not cause unfortunate accidents. On the occasion of the New Year, on behalf of the Government , the Prime Minister wished the hospital a new year, new victories, full of happiness, joy, and many great victories in 2024.
On the same day, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh visited, wished a happy new year and gave gifts to encourage medical staff, doctors and patients at the National Children's Hospital.
Speaking at the event, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh expressed his gratitude to the medical staff at the National Children's Hospital for their efforts in treating the sick children. The Prime Minister asked society, families, and medical facilities to take care of, share, and make sacrifices to compensate for the unfortunate children who fell ill during this Tet holiday.
The Prime Minister also highly appreciated the National Children's Hospital for achieving many good results in professional work and continuously promoting the hospital's 55-year tradition, contributing to the great achievements of the health sector.
The Prime Minister stated that the National Children's Hospital is the front line in terms of expertise and the last line in terms of medical examination and treatment, so the hospital's mission is very important, both summarizing and conducting scientific research, and examining and treating children with many different diseases.
“Many difficult cases are transferred to the hospital and at that time, we need to do our best to treat the patients as best as possible. The medical team needs to improve their professional qualifications, skills, and medical ethics, demonstrate the spirit of "Doctors are like kind mothers", do a good job of scientific research, and take care of the children's lives during treatment. At the same time, contribute to training human resources and expertise for the whole country related to the care and treatment of children. This is both an obligation, responsibility, love, and sharing with the children's families, contributing to improving the physical strength of Vietnamese people", the Prime Minister stated.
At the same time, he emphasized that we must have good health and physical fitness to have a healthy nation. Children are the future of the country, with good health, our nation will be healthy and develop strongly.
On this occasion, the Prime Minister also appreciated the National Children's Hospital for organizing entertainment activities for children and taking care of patient families during the Tet holiday. At the same time, the Prime Minister also requested the hospital to do a better job of disease prevention than treatment, ensure environmental hygiene and food safety, improve professional qualifications and quickly complete the investment in building the hospital's second facility in Quoc Oai district, Hanoi.
