
At the press conference, in front of officials from the two countries and Algerian, Vietnamese and international press, announcing the two countries' upgrading of relations to a Strategic Partnership and the signing of many other important documents, Algerian Prime Minister Sifi Ghrieb emphasized that the Prime Minister's visit to Algeria and the agreements signed by the two sides are historic, shaping and opening a new chapter in the bilateral relationship in the coming time.
This result concretizes the wishes and aspirations of generations of leaders and people of the two countries and affirms the determination of Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune in promoting cooperation with Vietnam.
The Algerian Prime Minister assessed the exchange as very effective and practical, once again affirming the important stature of bilateral relations and strengthening the spirit of solidarity between the governments and people of the two countries in responding to traditional and non-traditional security threats.

Assessing that during the visit, the two sides reviewed and agreed on specific measures to promote cooperation in all fields, the Algerian Prime Minister said that it is necessary for the two sides to implement the contents of the agreements reached into practical and effective actions, making the bilateral cooperation between Vietnam and Algeria a model in international relations in general, as well as in South-South cooperation in particular.
For his part, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh respectfully thanked the Prime Minister, leaders and people of Algeria for the warm, respectful and cordial reception given to him and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation; at the same time, conveying the congratulations of the leaders of the Party and State of Vietnam, General Secretary To Lam on the achievements that Algeria has achieved in the past year and the support for Algeria's important orientations in the coming years, with a vision to 2035.
The Prime Minister stressed that Vietnam and Algeria have an important common core value of supporting and helping each other in the struggle for national independence and unification. Therefore, both sides need to promote this heritage in building and developing the country today and in the future so that each country can be rich, civilized, prosperous and happy, and the people can become increasingly happy and prosperous.

The Prime Minister said that at the talks, the two Prime Ministers had a comprehensive exchange and reached high consensus on the principles, directions, and measures to further strengthen the relationship between the two countries, commensurate with the good relationship and affection that the people of the two countries have for each other.
Accordingly, the agreement to upgrade the Vietnam - Algeria relationship to a Strategic Partnership reflects high political trust at all levels; expanding the scale and scope of cooperation in all fields, especially economic cooperation, investment, culture, science and technology, innovation, digital transformation, education and training; identifying economic cooperation as the basis for promoting the two countries' relationship to become more in-depth, substantive and effective.
The Prime Minister emphasized that with the upgraded relationship, the two countries should strengthen solidarity and cohesion to create strength, promote cooperation to create benefits for both countries, and increase exchanges of high-level and local delegations to consolidate trust and mutual understanding.

The Prime Minister once again welcomed the signing of cooperation agreements between the two sides in the fields of education and training, housing and urban areas, debt settlement, justice and the resolution of previously outstanding issues during this visit.
Expressing his high agreement with the proposals and initiatives raised by the Algerian Prime Minister, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh asked the ministries and branches of both sides to actively implement the signed agreements and the orientations agreed upon by the two Prime Ministers, thereby contributing to further promoting the Vietnam-Algeria Strategic Partnership to increasingly blossom and bear fruit.
The Prime Minister wished the brotherly country and people of Algeria to attain even greater achievements in the cause of national construction and development, and that the traditional Vietnam-Algeria relationship would be further consolidated and developed for the benefit of the two peoples, for peace, friendship, cooperation and development in the region and the world.

Before the press conference, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Algerian Prime Minister Sifi Ghrieb witnessed the signing ceremony of cooperation documents between the two countries, including: Minutes of the 13th Session of the Vietnam-Algeria Joint Committee on Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation; Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between the Ministry of Construction of Vietnam and the Ministry of Housing, Urban Planning and Cities of Algeria in the field of housing and urban planning; Appendix of the Protocol on handling public debt between the two governments; Agreement on cooperation in the field of education between the two governments; Memorandum of Understanding between the Vietnam Confederation of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and the Algerian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CAC); Memorandum of Understanding between the Vietnam Academy of Posts and Telecommunications Technology and the Algerian University of Science and Technology Boumedienne; Letter of Intent between the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam and the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion of Algeria on coordination in research, assessment, and promotion of the initiation of negotiations on a trade agreement between the two countries.
