Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh visited and worked with Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) on the afternoon of November 30, within the framework of his two-day official visit to the country.

TAI is a leading defense industry group specializing in the design, production, integration, modernization of aerospace systems and support services in Türkiye.

The Group has 150,000 m2 of manufacturing facilities and factories in the capital Ankara, equipped with high-tech machinery and equipment, capable of producing components to assembling aircraft, conducting test flights and delivering finished products.

TAI is licensed to manufacture the F-16 Fighting Falcon fighter, the CASA/IPTN CN-235 light transport, maritime patrol and surveillance aircraft, the SIAI-Marchetti SF.260 trainer aircraft, the Cougar AS-532 search and rescue (SAR) aircraft, as well as design and develop unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

Receiving Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, the group's representative said that he attended the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2022 and expressed his desire to strengthen cooperation with Vietnam on the basis of a number of implemented projects.

The Prime Minister praised Türkiye's spirit of self-reliance in developing a modern, focused defense industry, and assessed that the country's aviation sector has met most of its domestic and export needs. The Prime Minister thanked Turkey for its cooperation and support for Vietnam in the defense industry.

According to the Prime Minister, to achieve the goal of national defense modernization, Vietnam identifies international cooperation and integration as one of the practical and effective methods. The Vietnamese leader suggested that the two sides promote cooperation in accordance with the needs and capabilities of each country, especially cooperation in the field of defense industry.
