In her opening speech, Vice Chairwoman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Thi Anh Thi said that in recent times, Da Nang has continuously made efforts to develop an innovative startup ecosystem.
The city has issued many unique, outstanding, breakthrough and unprecedented policies such as: policies on controlled testing of new technology solutions; tax exemption for innovative start-up activities, support for innovative start-up activities; support for the use of scientific and technological infrastructure assets; non-refundable support from the State budget to develop innovative start-up projects; support for information infrastructure assets to develop the semiconductor and artificial intelligence sectors, etc.
Da Nang has been recognized as an Attractive City for Innovative Startups by the Vietnam Software and Information Technology Services Association (VINASA) for 4 years, including: 2020, 2022, 2023 and 2024.
Recently, Da Nang jumped 130 places, ranking 766th in the Global Startup Ecosystem Index 2025 by the Center for Research and Mapping the Global Startup Ecosystem (StartupBlink - Singapore).
In the coming time, after Da Nang and Quang Nam merge, the position of Da Nang city will be raised to a new level, creating a breakthrough in development, contributing to building Da Nang into one of the major socio-economic centers of the country and Southeast Asia with the role of a center for startups and innovation in accordance with the spirit of Resolution No. 43-NQ/TW dated January 24, 2019 of the Politburo .

Through DAVAS 2025, the city government hopes to gradually build and form a community of angel investors and venture capital funds in Da Nang; support innovative start-up projects and businesses to access domestic and foreign investors, investment funds, and leading experts in the field of innovative start-ups.
Hopefully, in the coming time, the city's startup ecosystem will grow stronger and stronger, becoming an attractive destination, connecting innovative startup resources, domestic and international startups to cooperate, invest and develop together. The city government will always accompany businesses, taking businesses as the center of the entire innovative startup ecosystem of the city.

DAVAS 2025 is the second year the event has been held. This year's event has been expanded with the participation of more than 20 investors and investment funds, more than 30 companion units, startup support units and 40 domestic and international innovative startup projects/enterprises in many fields such as technology, education, agriculture, healthcare, etc.
Within the framework of the event, a number of activities took place such as: organizing capital calls for 40 projects, innovative startups before domestic and foreign investment funds; connecting in the form of 1:1 between investment funds and projects, innovative startups; launching the Da Nang - Greater Bay Area innovation space; seminars; signing of innovation cooperation; visiting innovation partners in Da Nang; exhibition of Da Nang innovative startup activities...
