Standing member of the Secretariat Truong Thi Mai informed comrade Sitaram Yechury about the recent situation in Vietnam, about a number of key tasks that the Communist Party of Vietnam is actively implementing, including mass mobilization work and the connection between the Party and the masses; affirming that under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Vietnam has transformed from a country with a poverty rate of 58% to a middle-income country in the world.

Standing member of the Secretariat Truong Thi Mai said that the Communist Party of Vietnam is summarizing 40 years of experience in implementing the Doi Moi process, including supplementing, analyzing, and specifically evaluating the domestic and international situation to improve the effectiveness of building guidelines and policies in the coming period.

CPI-M General Secretary Sitaram Yechury sincerely thanked the Standing Member of the Secretariat for taking the time to receive the delegation; shared the good results of the meetings with representatives of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam; affirmed that the contents of the discussions were valuable references to help CPI-M implement and deploy the Party's resolutions and tasks in the coming time. On this occasion, Comrade Sitaram Yechury informed about the situation in India, the current priorities of CPI-M as well as the task of gathering working people, strengthening cooperation with left-wing and democratic forces to protect the rights and interests of workers, and expanding the influence and position of the Party in politics.

Previously, the CPI-M delegation had talks with comrade Le Hoai Trung, member of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central External Relations Commission. The two sides discussed specific measures to strengthen relations between the two Parties and the two countries. The delegation also had talks with comrade Pham Tat Thang, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Mass Mobilization Commission; worked with representatives of the Central Economic Commission and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. At the meetings, the delegation listened to discussions on the recent socio-economic development situation in Vietnam, the orientation and goals of the Communist Party of Vietnam on Party building, anti-corruption and the Party's connection with the masses.
