Effective implementation of Project 1 for ethnic minorities

Implementing Project 1 on solving the shortage of residential land, housing, production land, and domestic water, Nho Quan district ( Ninh Binh ) has been proactive in implementation as well as actively reviewing beneficiaries, synthesizing investment needs and supporting households.

To effectively implement the contents of Project 1 on supporting residential land, housing, production land, and domestic water for ethnic minorities and mountainous areas, the People's Committee of Nho Quan district has deployed and surveyed the actual needs of each beneficiary household. Accordingly, the review and selection of beneficiaries are carried out publicly and democratically from the grassroots level, with the right subjects and the right norms.

In 2022, the district was invested 289 million VND, and by 2023, the whole district had invested more than 2.6 billion VND. Also in 2023, 15 households were supported with residential land; 16 households were supported with housing; 87 households were supported with domestic water.

The number of households that received loans from the social policy bank to stabilize their housing was 18 households, 16 households to build new or repair houses, 59 households to learn a trade and change jobs. The amount of money disbursed by the social policy bank was 1.6 billion VND.

In general, the National Target Program 1719 has been closely and resolutely led and directed by the People's Committee of Nho Quan district to ensure social security and improve the economic life of ethnic minority people. The Party Committee, government, Fatherland Front and mass organizations in the district have organized the supervision of Project 1 in accordance with the correct procedures and project documents, ensuring compliance with regulations, and disbursement of capital for the right purpose and to the right practical subjects.
