Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong received the Chief of Staff of the Korean Air Force

( Bqp.vn ) – On the afternoon of September 27, in Hanoi, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Central Military Commission, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, Deputy Minister of National Defense , received General Lee Young Su, Chief of Staff of the Republic of Korea Air Force on the occasion of his visit and work in Vietnam.

At the reception, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong emphasized that Vietnam always attaches importance to developing a comprehensive strategic partnership with the Republic of Korea. Based on the good relationship between the two countries, bilateral defense cooperation has witnessed steady development in recent times, especially in the fields of education and training, maritime security, overcoming the consequences of war, defense industry, and participation in United Nations peacekeeping operations.

Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong presented a souvenir to General Lee Young Su.

General Lee Young Su informed Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong of the results of his previous meeting with Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Hien, member of the Party Central Committee and Commander of the Air Defense - Air Force. Accordingly, the two sides evaluated the results of cooperation in the past and agreed on the direction of cooperation in the future. General Lee Young Su expressed his belief that bilateral defense cooperation in general and cooperation between the two countries' Air Forces in particular will develop further in the coming time.
