Rach Mieu 2 Bridge progress reaches over 82.5% of plan

On March 27, Mr. Tran Van Thi, Director of My Thuan Project Management Board, said that up to now, the overall progress of the Rach Mieu 2 Bridge Construction Investment Project (connecting Tien Giang and Ben Tre provinces) has reached 82.54%, exceeding the overall progress by more than 4.49% compared to the plan.

Accordingly, the road section under construction on the entire 14km route (100% completed), the units are currently unloading, the progress is 80%, the asphalt concrete is 22%. It is expected that the entire route on the Ben Tre side will be completed before June 30.

Rach Mieu 2 main bridge has installed the 104th/112th cable-stayed bundle.

Regarding the bridges, up to now, 4/6 bridges have been completed (Xoai Hot bridge, My Tho bridge, Tam Son bridge and Ba Lai bridge), the remaining 2 bridges are under construction (Rach Mieu 2 main bridge and Song Ma bridge).

It is expected that by June 30, all 5/5 bridges on the route will be completed and the approach roads will be basically completed.

Mr. Tran Van Thi emphasized: “In order to demonstrate determination and aim to complete the entire Rach Mieu 2 Bridge Project by September 2, My Thuan Project Management Board and other units are seriously implementing construction in 3 shifts and 4 teams (with 30 construction teams; about 150 construction equipment; 500 workers and 83 technical staff). All are determined to speed up the progress further, aiming to close the main bridge of Rach Mieu Bridge on April 30”.
