Tien Giang: More than 200 groups and individuals honored for blood donation

Speaking at the program, Mr. Phan Duc Thanh, Chairman of the Provincial Red Cross Society, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Steering Committee for Blood Donation Mobilization in Tien Giang province emphasized: "Red Journey" is an activity with profound humanitarian meaning, contributing to strongly promoting the blood donation movement to save lives in the community, especially during the summer - when blood reserves are often scarce.

Awarding Certificates of Merit from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society to households and individuals with outstanding achievements in humanitarian work in the province.

This year’s program attracted the participation of a large number of officers, soldiers of the Armed Forces, union members, youth, students and people in the province. At the festival, hundreds of blood units were received and promptly added to the blood bank to serve emergency and patient treatment at medical facilities in the province.

Awarding Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of Tien Giang Provincial People's Committee to households and individuals with outstanding achievements in the work of HMTN in the province.

Also within the framework of the program, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society honored and awarded 3 "blood donation family" badges, 6 commemorative medals, 30 certificates of merit to households and individuals with achievements in blood donation over 30 times; Tien Giang Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 23 households and 76 individuals with achievements in blood donation over 20 times; The provincial Red Cross Society awarded 81 certificates of merit to individuals with many achievements in blood donation work in 2024 - 2025.

On this occasion, BIDV Tien Giang and BIDV My Tho supported 500,000 VND in cash for each household in difficult circumstances in My Tho city.

Through the “Red Journey”, the Steering Committee for Blood Donation Mobilization in Tien Giang province hopes to widely spread the message “Every drop of blood given - A life saved”, arousing the spirit of sharing and compassion in the whole society, for a healthy, humane and loving community.
