Tien Giang: Visiting workers with work accidents

The delegation was led by comrade Le Minh Hung, Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor; also participating was comrade Ly Van Cam, Director of the Provincial Department of Home Affairs.

The delegation visited cases of workers who suffered serious work-related accidents. Among them was Mr. Ho Van Sang, a worker at Go Cong Urban Construction Joint Stock Company, who is currently in a vegetative state after a serious work-related accident in 2020, when the crane fell and crushed him while he was driving, with a disability rate of 99%.

The delegation visited Mr. Nguyen Van Teo, a worker at Li Chuan Food Company Limited.

Next, the delegation visited Mr. Nguyen Van Teo, a worker at Li Chuan Food Company Limited (Tan My Chanh Industrial Park, My Tho City) who suffered a work accident due to a broken chemical pipe, causing severe blurred vision and making his family life difficult.

The delegation also visited Mr. Vo Van Hung, a worker at Tien Giang Printing Joint Stock Company, who suffered a work accident in 1993 that resulted in the amputation of his right arm, with a disability rate of 64%. He is currently still working at the company.

At the end of the session, the delegation visited Mr. Nguyen Van Duc, a worker at the My Tho City Urban Construction Company, who was blinded due to the effects of ash dust. He is currently unemployed and living on occupational accident and disease benefits, facing many difficulties in life.

Accordingly, the Department of Home Affairs of Tien Giang province has provided financial support for 5 cases (1.5 million VND/case). In addition, 5 other cases were supported from the budget of the Tien Giang Provincial Federation of Labor.

The visiting activities have demonstrated the caring spirit of the Trade Union organization, contributing to encouraging workers to overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives.
