The project will be implemented in Tien Giang province from 2018 to 2025 on a scale of 15,356 hectares in 4 key districts. The project will build 4 high-tech demonstration sites (40.7 hectares) and expand to 14,544 hectares, reaching 94.9% of the plan. The technical advances applied include "3 in 1" transplanters, slow-release fertilizers, high-quality varieties, "3 reductions, 3 increases", "1 must, 5 reductions" processes and automatic irrigation systems.

Through implementation, the average rice yield reached 6.97 tons/ha, an increase of 0.36 tons/ha compared to outside the model, and profits increased by 15% (equivalent to 4 million VND/ha/crop). The project organized 28 TOT, TOF training courses and 743 technical training courses, built 119 model signs, printed 11,000 technical documents, contributing to raising farmers' awareness and skills. Some equipment such as transplanters are no longer used due to new technical changes.

The project also contributes to reducing production costs, protecting the environment and creating a premise for implementing the Project of 1 million hectares of high-quality rice by 2030. The positive impact of the project is demonstrated by the fact that many other localities have also proactively replicated the model, improving economic efficiency and farmers' lives.
