Having a stable job in a state agency, Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan (Ea Ktur commune) decided to leave the city to return to farming in her own way.
From her family's 1 hectare of coffee, Ms. Lan decided to implement a regenerative farming model, retaining the natural grass layer, not tilling the soil, utilizing organic fertilizers and intercropping pepper to maintain moisture and increase biomass for the soil. After more than two years of persistently pursuing the new method, the coffee yield of Ms. Lan's garden reached 3.5 tons of beans/ha, and pepper reached 4 tons/ha. The total annual income reached more than 700 million VND, of which the investment cost was reduced by nearly 30% compared to the traditional coffee production model.
With the success of her family's model, Ms. Lan inspires the surrounding households, shares techniques and experiences, and helps expand the sustainable coffee model locally. Ms. Lan shared: "Farming is not simply planting and harvesting, I want every inch of land under my feet to be revived, not discolored, not poisoned by chemicals. Making clean products not only protects people's health but can also enhance the value of local agricultural products."

Continue the glorious history
During the years when the country was engulfed in the flames of war, generations of Vietnamese youth volunteered to join the army, becoming the vanguard in the movements to fight the enemy and save the country. They were the core of the revolution, ready to sacrifice themselves for the Fatherland, not sparing their youth and blood to gain peace and independence. Today, the young generation lives, studies and contributes in peace, that aspiration still burns strongly but in a new form of engaging in creative activities, working, starting a business, and defending the Fatherland on the economic, scientific, cultural and technological fronts.
With the spirit of “Wherever there is a need, there is a youth, wherever there is difficulty, there is a youth”, Dak Lak youth have been promoting their pioneering, voluntary and creative role on all fronts, effectively implementing the revolutionary action movements of the Youth Union. Typical movements are “Youth Volunteers”, “Youth Volunteers to Protect the Fatherland”, “Youth Start-ups and Careers”… which are increasingly going into depth and leaving positive marks.
In 2024 alone, 838 projects and more than 8,000 tasks with the "youth brand" were deployed in the whole province with a total cost of more than 16 billion VND. Of which, the Youth Union at all levels built more than 176 km of "Lighting up the border", "Lighting up the country roads"; repaired 12 km of rural roads; renovated 7 "Community Cultural Houses"; implemented 20 "National Flag Roads" and nearly 300 "Homeland Flag Colors" routes; organized more than 4,000 environmental protection activities, responding to climate change; implemented more than 130 urban streets with the criteria of "Bright - Green - Clean - Beautiful - Civilized - Safe" ...

Through these movements, many typical examples of Dak Lak students have been discovered, nurtured and honored. They are good students, live beautifully, are active in integration, creative in starting a business and pioneers in volunteering for the community, contributing to bringing the image of the province’s youth to new heights in the era of integration and development.
Mr. Y Le Pas Tor, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Head of the Provincial Youth Union and Youth Affairs Committee, shared: “No matter where they are, Dak Lak youth are always pioneers in taking on new and difficult tasks. In peacetime, the patriotism of Dak Lak youth has never faded, but is demonstrated through concrete, creative and useful actions, contributing to continuing the heroic history of our heroic homeland in the period of integration and development”.
