On November 10, the Farmers Support Program awarded capital to farming households in Long An .

The program was organized by Tuoi Tre newspaper and GREENFEED Vietnam Joint Stock Company in collaboration with the Farmers' Association and Long An Provincial Youth Union, providing capital to 40 local households in My Thanh Tay and My Thanh Bac communes, Duc Hue district, Long An province.

On the list of households selected for capital, Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Hang, My Loi hamlet, My Thanh Tay commune, Duc Hue district is a poor household in a particularly difficult situation.

Her eldest child is in second grade. Ms. Hang's health is not good and she has just given birth to her second child, so she stays home to cook, take her children to school, and receive goods to sew to earn extra income.

Mr. Phan Thanh Dong, Ms. Hang's husband, has no stable job, he does whatever jobs are hired. The little money he earns is only enough for simple meals.

"My family was in a difficult situation when we received the interest-free loan support from the sponsor. My family was very excited and happy to have the capital to raise frogs to take care of my children's education" - Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Hang shared.

From 2010 to 2023, through support of interest-free loans, animal feed product costs and livestock skills training , Farmers' Support has helped improve the livelihoods of 2,620 farming households in 24 provinces and cities across the country (including provinces that have been refinanced for the 4th time).

Not stopping there, understanding that investing ineducation is investing in the future, the program also promotes and encourages the spirit of farming households by awarding scholarships to students who are children of households receiving capital and have good academic achievements.

The proportion of women participating in the program is 95%. The majority of households receiving capital have been doing business effectively with a return rate of over 94%.

The program will support interest-free capital for 2 years with a total cost of 920 million VND (including 800 million VND in cash and 120 million VND in animal feed support costs). These are households with difficult circumstances but determined to become economically independent and improve their lives.

At the same time, by spreading stories about people with strong will and perseverance in overcoming adversity, we inspire the community.

In addition to providing capital, the program organizes training courses on livestock farming techniques, assigns technical managers to closely follow farmers for two years to answer questions and help them apply knowledge effectively into practice.
