Continue investing in upgrading urban infrastructure.

In order to transform the appearance of urban areas, improve infrastructure, and contribute to raising people's living standards, along with many projects already put into effective use, localities continue to allocate resources to upgrade urban areas and residential areas. Cities, residential areas, and rural areas in the province are becoming increasingly modern and civilized, creating momentum to promote socio-economic development.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet (Ha Khau 7 residential area, Viet Hung ward) shared: "Thanks to the attention of the province and the ward, many infrastructure projects in the area are being invested in, upgraded, renovated, and expanded. Many roads have been completed and put into use, meeting the expectations of the people. For example, the roads in the Ha Khau 7 and Ha Khau 8 resettlement areas, which were previously rough, narrow, and lacked streetlights, making travel very dangerous for residents, especially children, have now been renovated to be spacious and much more convenient."

The Standing Committee of the People's Council of Mao Khe Ward is monitoring the progress of urban infrastructure upgrade projects in the area.
The Standing Committee of the People's Council of Mao Khe Ward is monitoring the progress of urban infrastructure upgrade projects in the area.

Mao Khe Ward has a large number of urban infrastructure and residential area upgrade projects, ranging from transportation, drainage, and lighting to cultural and community facilities, with a total investment of nearly 950 billion VND. The ward has established a Steering Committee for improving urban and residential area quality to strengthen leadership and management, and to promptly address any difficulties arising during implementation. Simultaneously, it has intensified efforts to promote and encourage residents to participate in urban beautification, donating land, structures, and contributing funds and labor. As a result, many projects have had their difficulties and obstacles resolved and construction progressed rapidly .

In addition to the 63 projects carried over from 2025, this year the ward continues to accelerate the progress of 55 new projects in the fields of: culture and information, road transport, urban development, state management, security and order, and other economic activities.

Notably, the transportation project group accounts for the largest proportion with 48 road renovation and upgrading projects, such as: Upgrading and renovating the road from Me Son area to Dap Mo, the local road through Kim Sen hill area from the railway line to the intersection leading to Cemetery 1; upgrading the main road in Vinh Quang 2 area; renovating and upgrading the main road in Vinh Lam area; upgrading and renovating the road from Yen Trung gas station down to the border of Khanh Yen Duc bridge… These projects are directly related to people's lives, not only meeting the transportation and living needs of the people, but also contributing to the completion of technical infrastructure, creating an increasingly modern, civilized urban appearance.

In addition, the locality is accelerating the investment preparation process for projects such as Mao Khe II Kindergarten - School Area 2, the access road to the Military Command Headquarters (Phase 2), and the outdoor community activity area in the center of Mao Khe ward…

Prioritizing investment in infrastructure projects is creating a crucial impetus for localities to gradually improve urban quality, build a civilized and modern living environment, and better meet the needs of the people. This is also an important prerequisite for fulfilling the criteria for establishing Quang Ninh city.
