Continue to promote the peak of the fight against smuggling

(QNO) - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has just issued an official dispatch on continuing to step up the fight against smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and infringement of intellectual property rights.

The dispatch stated that recently, ministries, branches, localities and functional forces have made many efforts to step up the fight against smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and infringement of intellectual property rights and have initially achieved positive results.

However, the situation of smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and intellectual property rights infringement remains very complicated; coordination between ministries, sectors, and localities is still not tight.

The Prime Minister requested ministries, branches and localities to strengthen direction and urge functional forces to coordinate closely, continue to promote the peak period of the fight to prevent and repel smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, fake milk, fake medicine, fake functional foods, foods that do not ensure quality, and goods that infringe intellectual property rights; promptly detect and strictly handle violators.

At the same time, strictly handle cadres, civil servants, and officers who show signs of moral degradation, corruption, negativity, protection, and assistance to law-breaking subjects with the motto "handling one case, warning the whole region, the whole field", "no forbidden areas, no exceptions".

The Prime Minister also requested that provincial and municipal Party Secretaries directly lead and closely direct local Party committees, authorities and the entire political system to proactively and actively fight against smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods and infringement of intellectual property rights.
