Having lost all her belongings due to the fire at her stall in Thanh Da market, Ms. Mong Cam burst into tears because she did not know how to support her three children's education. She hopes that the government will soon investigate the cause and support the traders to return to stable business.

On the afternoon of March 18, leaders of the People's Committee of Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh City met and encouraged 7 small traders who suffered losses in the fire at Thanh Da market on the evening of March 17.

At the meeting, Mr. Vu Ngoc Tuat, Secretary of the Binh Thanh District Party Committee, shared that the fire and explosion incident was something no one wanted. When he inspected the scene of the fire, he saw that all the goods for sale were burned, which certainly caused losses to the traders.

However, the fire has already happened, Mr. Tuan hopes that the traders will calm down, regain their spirits, and try to overcome the difficult period ahead.

On the government side, Mr. Tuat affirmed that the authorities will quickly investigate the cause of the fire, and at the same time find solutions and create conditions to help people repair and continue to operate stably again. Of course, all implementation procedures must follow regulations to avoid similar incidents.

Ms. Mong Cam, a merchant involved in the fire, burst into tears and shared that she is the main breadwinner in her family. She is currently raising three children to go to school, so when her entire stall burned down, she was devastated.

"I have been selling blankets and mattresses at Thanh Da market for decades. All my capital and assets are here. Last night when I heard that the stall was on fire, my child and I rushed there but were helpless, fainting again and again. My child cried and said, "How can I feed the children now?", Ms. Cam sobbed.

Ms. Cam's wish is for the government to quickly investigate the cause of the fire, and for the traders to clean up and fix the problem so they can soon return to business and earn a living. Because in the near future, Ms. Cam does not know what she will do to earn money to take care of her children.

Like Ms. Cam, all the remaining traders hope that the government will soon have a plan to help them return to stable business. For them, burning all their business assets means losing their main source of income, while they still have to pay for living expenses and children's school fees every day.

Previously, at around 10pm on March 17, a fire suddenly broke out at Thanh Da market, the fire area located between Thanh Da residential area, opposite the police headquarters and Ward 27 People's Committee. Because there were many flammable materials in this area, the fire spread rapidly, the fire flared up fiercely, making initial firefighting efforts unsuccessful.

Upon receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police dispatched many specialized vehicles and dozens of soldiers from the Binh Thanh District Team to the scene to fight the fire and rescue. Firefighting forces from some neighboring areas were also mobilized to support.

Professional firefighters actively sprayed water to put out the fire, prevent it from spreading, and cool it down. A reconnaissance team was on search and rescue duty.

By around 11pm, the fire was basically under control, and 10 minutes later, it was completely extinguished. At the scene, temporary kiosks made of wood and corrugated iron roofs collapsed. Many goods and children's toys were burned black, and belongings were scattered everywhere.

Currently, the cause of the fire is still being investigated and clarified by the authorities.
