Found two sets of martyrs' remains in the grounds of Bo De School - Quang Tri Ancient Citadel

On the morning of September 17, the Martyrs' Remains Collection Team 584, the Political Department, Quang Tri Provincial Military Command, said that from September 14, 2025 to now, the unit has organized a search and recovered 2 sets of martyrs' remains located in the Bo De School Relics campus - one of the special historical relics of the province, associated with the fierce years of the war against the US, to save the country, especially the 81-day and night battle in the fiery summer of 1972 to protect the sacred Citadel.

Previously, the unit had received information that during the renovation of the historical site, workers discovered traces of martyrs' remains. Accordingly, Team 584 quickly inspected, verified and conducted a search.

As a result, after 4 days, the force found 2 sets of martyrs' remains wrapped in military hammocks, next to relics and items such as helmets, infantry shovels, and AK ammunition boxes, lying about 60cm above the natural ground.

Initially, Team 584 found two sets of martyrs' remains.

Currently, the martyrs' remains are being kept at the Cultural House of Quarter 3, Quang Tri Ward. Team 584 is coordinating with local Party committees, authorities, and socio-political agencies to preserve them, offer incense, and expand the search area around where the martyrs' remains were discovered.
