- On the morning of July 26, after many hours of searching, military forces from the Provincial Military Command, the Defense Command of Area 1 - That Khe, militia of Quoc Viet commune and police forces found the body of the victim swept away by floodwaters in Quoc Viet commune.

Authorities brought the victim's body ashore.

Specifically, at around 9:15 a.m. on July 26, authorities found the body of Mr. HVL. The location where the victim was found was still in Na Na village, Quoc Viet commune, about 700 meters downstream from where the victim jumped into the river. Authorities have handed over the body to the family for funeral arrangements.

Previously, at around 4:50 p.m. on July 24, Quoc Viet Commune Police received information from the public that HVL, born in 1991, residing in Hamlet 3, Quoc Viet Commune, Lang Son Province, jumped into the river at Ky Cung River in Na Na Hamlet, Quoc Viet Commune, Lang Son Province and was swept away by the water.
