At 1 p.m. on September 23, the center of the super storm was at about 20.3 degrees North latitude; 117.1 degrees East longitude, in the northeastern sea of ​​the North East Sea. The strongest wind speed was level 16-17, or from 184 to 221 km/h, gusting above level 17. The storm is forecast to move in a West-Northwest direction, at a speed of about 20 km/h.

Forecast until 13:00 on September 24: The center of the storm is forecast to be in the coastal waters of Guangdong province (China), about 480 km east of Mong Cai ( Quang Ninh ). The intensity will remain at level 15-16, gusting above level 17. The northern waters of the North East Sea and the eastern part of the Gulf of Tonkin are at high risk.

By 1:00 p.m. on September 25: The storm center is forecast to move to the coastal waters of Quang Ninh - Hai Phong . The intensity has decreased to about level 9-10, gusting to level 12.

And by 1:00 p.m. on September 26: The storm center is forecast to be over Upper Laos; the storm continues to weaken and is likely to turn into a low pressure area with winds below level 6.

Under the impact of the storm, from the morning of September 25, coastal areas from Quang Ninh to Thanh Hoa will have winds gradually increasing to level 6-7, then increasing to level 8, near the storm center level 9-10, gusting to level 12; inland areas in the Northeast, there will be strong winds of level 6, gusting to level 8. From the night of September 24 to the end of the night of September 26, in the Northern region, Thanh Hoa and Nghe An, there will be heavy to very heavy rain with common rainfall of 100-250mm, locally over 400mm. Beware of heavy rain causing urban flooding. Heavy rain is likely to cause flooding in low-lying areas; flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on steep slopes. Due to the influence of the wide storm circulation, it is necessary to be on guard against the risk of thunderstorms, whirlwinds and strong gusts of wind both before and during the storm's landfall.
