The Marketing Business Magazine has an article: " The Ministry of Industry and Trade approves the price framework for importing electricity from China".
The Ministry of Industry and Trade has just approved the price framework for importing electricity from China to Vietnam via the national grid and the price framework for generating electricity from pumped storage hydropower plants. According to Decision 1231 of the Ministry of Industry and Trade approving the price framework for importing electricity from China to Vietnam, the maximum price of the price framework for importing electricity from China via the national grid is stipulated in Clause 3, Article 9 of Circular 9/2025 of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Accordingly, the Ministry stipulates the documents, procedures, and processes for developing and approving the electricity import price framework of 9.3 US cents/kWh (equivalent to about 2,430 VND/kWh, according to the exchange rate on May 8). Based on this price framework, the Ministry of Industry and Trade requires Vietnam Electricity Group and the electricity seller to negotiate the price of importing electricity from China to ensure the principle of saving electricity purchase costs.
Vietnam Plus newspaper has an article: "Issuing new regulations on the development mechanism of gas-fired thermal power projects".
The Government issued new regulations on the mechanism for developing gas-fired thermal power projects using domestic natural gas and imported LNG, effective from May 8, 2025. The Government issued Decree No. 100/2025/ND-CP dated May 8, 2025 amending and supplementing Decree No. 56/2025/ND-CP dated March 3, 2025 detailing a number of articles of the Electricity Law on electricity development planning, power grid development plans, investment in electricity project construction and bidding to select investors in electricity business projects.
Decree No. 100/2025/ND-CP amends and supplements a number of contents of Article 15 of Decree No. 56/2025/ND-CP; effective from May 8, 2025. Specifically, the name of Article 15 is amended and supplemented to "Mechanism for ensuring consumption of domestically exploited natural gas sources; principles for transferring fuel price parity to electricity price and long-term minimum contracted electricity output for gas-fired thermal power projects".
At the same time, Decree No. 100/2025/ND-CP amends and supplements Clause 3 and Clause 4, Article 15 of Decree No. 56/2025/ND-CP on the mechanism for developing gas-fired thermal power projects.
Import and export sector
People's Representative Newspaper published the information: "Vietnamese bird's nest has the opportunity to expand the Chinese market".
On May 8, the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine ( Ministry of Agriculture and Environment ) held a conference to implement the new Protocol on exporting bird's nest to China, replacing the 2022 Protocol. This is considered an important step forward, creating conditions for Vietnamese bird's nest to expand its market share in the world's largest consumer market.

To date, 13 Vietnamese enterprises have been licensed by China to export bird's nests; more than 4 tons of refined bird's nests and millions of bird's nest products have been officially exported, reaching a value of more than 4 million USD.
Field of international economic integration
The Government Newspaper published the information: "Upgrading the ASEAN Trade in Goods Agreement: 98% of negotiation progress completed".
The ASEAN Economic Ministers highly appreciated the efforts of the Negotiating Committee and technical groups in the recent negotiation process to upgrade the ASEAN Trade in Goods Agreement, and acknowledged that after 14 official negotiation sessions, ASEAN countries have completed nearly 98% of the progress.
The Chair of the TNC Committee reported to Ministers on outstanding issues in a number of areas such as rules of origin, refurbished goods, transparency, further tariff liberalization, entry into force provisions of the upgraded ATIGA Agreement… and made recommendations to address these issues.
On the Vietnamese side, Minister Nguyen Hong Dien supported the early conclusion of negotiations to upgrade the ATIGA Agreement and welcomed the positive working results of the TNC Committee and technical groups in recent times.
E-commerce sector
The news site www.vcci.com.vn posted an article: "The E-commerce Law Project developed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade is highly appreciated".
According to information from the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy (Ministry of Industry and Trade), the draft Law on E-commerce developed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade has received many comments from relevant ministries, branches and agencies.
The Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) also proposed that it is necessary to supplement policies to ensure equality for Vietnamese enterprises operating in cross-border e-commerce activities; reduce administrative procedures, and strengthen post-inspection.
The Legal Department (Ministry of Home Affairs) also expressed its agreement with the need to develop policies because the trading market is currently developing very rapidly. At the same time, it highly appreciated the acceptance of comments from the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and requested that the drafting agency strengthen regulations related to decentralization and delegation of authority. The Ministry of Home Affairs assessed that the dossier prepared by the Ministry of Industry and Trade was very elaborate and meticulous, and qualified to be submitted to the Government.
