On February 18, 2025, Sensor Tower APAC Awards honored Zalo and PUBG Mobile for their outstanding features, downloads, and user interactions. This is an award honoring game and application publishers with great influence in the domestic and Asia- Pacific markets.
Specifically, in In the major category “Best Apps of 2024”, Sensor Tower honored Zalo as the Best Multi-Function Messaging App . According to the Organizing Committee, Zalo is an essential tool for communication in the context of modern life with more than 254 million downloads, affirming its role in connecting users deeply as well as its indispensable presence in the daily lives of people in both urban and rural areas of Vietnam.
Previously, according to a report published by the Ministry of Information and Communications in November 2024, Zalo is the most popular messaging application in Vietnam with nearly 78 million regular monthly users and nearly 2 billion messages sent every day. Currently, Zalo is actively researching and applying artificial intelligence to its products to bring a series of attractive AI features: eKYC (2022), Text to speech (2023), Voice to text (2023), Zalo AI Avatar (2023), Voice dictation (2024), zSticker AI (2024)... According to the Q4 2024 performance report, Zalo recorded that 25% of users are using features that integrate AI right in the application.
In the “Best Games of 2024” category, PUBG Mobile was honored with the Best Global LiveOps Game award thanks to its innovative operating strategy and flexible localization. This mobile survival game continuously releases attractive seasonal updates, customized to suit the characteristics and culture of each region, maintaining a strong appeal in the gaming community.
As the official publisher of PUBG Mobile in Vietnam, VNGGames is constantly expanding the gaming community and promoting the eSports movement with creative activities, unique experiences and professional, accessible eSports tournaments. At the end of 2024, VNGGames successfully organized the annual event "Winter Festival" of PUBG Mobile, attracting more than 5,000 fans, and launched the MV "OK Het!" - a collaboration with leading Vietnamese artists, bringing an interesting connection between music and the gaming world.

On a global scale, PUBG Mobile continues to affirm its appeal with 172 eSports tournaments taking place in 2024, with a total prize value exceeding 16 million USD. The recent PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2024 also set a new record with nearly 1 million concurrent viewers (according to eSports Charts).
