To proactively respond to storm No. 9, on September 21 and 24, the Group's Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue issued two dispatches directing the entire industry to urgently deploy prevention plans. Accordingly, units reviewed and strengthened the waste disposal system, dams, and reservoirs; fully stocked fuel, supplies, and food; prepared rescue vehicles, backup generators, and moved equipment and vehicles to a safe place.
In particular, underground mining units are required to strengthen the drainage pumping system, proactively stop production and evacuate people from dangerous areas when heavy rains cause sudden increases in water flow. Units operating at sea and along the coast must count and move all vehicles to safe shelters. On-duty forces and vehicles are regularly deployed at key points to promptly handle incidents.
Along with that, transport companies ensure absolute safety in transporting workers before, during and after the storm. The Group directs the response with the highest spirit, thoroughly implementing the motto "3 before, 4 on-site", arranging leaders to be on duty 24/24, maintaining regular situation reports and closely coordinating with local authorities in coordination and search and rescue work.
Currently, TKV has established 3 working groups to directly inspect key locations in 3 regions: Cam Pha, Hon Gai and the Western region.
