TMT Motors recently announced its strategy to develop a comprehensive electric transportation ecosystem in Vietnam. This ecosystem includes electric vehicles, charging stations, and especially a battery swapping station system for both electric motorbikes and electric cars, with the expectation of solving the infrastructure problem for green transportation.

The battery exchange station system invested by TMT – EGREEN is designed with many flexible configurations, from 4 to 72 batteries/station, suitable for a variety of installation scales – especially at existing gas stations.

The station's operating mechanism allows users to change batteries within 1-2 minutes, without manual operation. The system is integrated with safety technologies such as fire protection, overheating protection, electric leakage warning, and battery data management via QR code connecting to the cloud computing platform. Thanks to that, users can check the battery status in real time.

In addition to replacing batteries for electric cars, TMT Motors also confirmed that it will launch five new electric motorbike models in the fourth quarter of 2025. These models focus on customers who frequently travel in urban areas such as students, technology drivers, delivery staff, middle-income workers and small transport units.

TMT Motors emphasized that investing in the electric transport ecosystem is in response to Directive 20/CT-TTg of the Prime Minister on controlling air pollution and promoting green transformation in the transport sector.

TMT Motors representative said: "In the context of Vietnam promoting the energy transition, developing green transportation and aiming for zero net emissions by 2050, electric vehicles are expected to gradually replace traditional gasoline vehicles. However, for electric vehicles to become truly popular, a strong and convenient energy infrastructure is needed. In particular, the battery swapping station invested by TMT Motors can be considered a potential solution for the future of green transportation in Vietnam...

TMT Motors has directed its member company, TMT - EGREEN Charging Station Investment Joint Stock Company, to urgently deploy a system of charging stations and battery exchange stations for electric cars and electric motorbikes nationwide.

Based on the previous distribution platform of brands such as Cuu Long, Tata, Howo and DFSK, TMT has quickly completed an electric vehicle assembly line with a capacity of 30,000 vehicles/year in Hung Yen, and is considering increasing it to 60,000 vehicles/year.

MT also has ambitions to build a network of 30,000 charging stations, equivalent to 60,000 charging guns, in the period 2025–2030.

The company sold 591 electric vehicles in 2023 and 1,358 in 2024. In 2025, TMT aims to sell 3,404 electric vehicles. The two current flagship models are the Hongguang Mini EV (mini electric vehicle) priced from VND197 - 231 million and the Bingo (small B-class vehicle) priced from VND399 - 469 million.

Not stopping there, recently TMT also set the ambition to build a network of 30,000 charging stations, equivalent to 60,000 charging guns in the period 2025-2030.
