Welcome 12 most worthy representatives to the final round of the THACO Cup 2025

On the afternoon of March 1, the opening ceremony of the 3rd Vietnam Youth Student Football Tournament - 2025 THACO Cup (TNSV THACO Cup 2025) took place at Ton Duc Thang University's football field, with the participation of Mr. Nguyen Van Duoc, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee; Mr. Bui Quang Huy, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, First Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee; journalist Tran Trong Dung, Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association and many guests, accompanying units, former famous players and thousands of fans who are young people and students from 12 schools with participating football teams.

In the opening statement of the award, journalist Nguyen Ngoc Toan - Co-Chairman of the award's Organizing Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Thanh Nien Newspaper, shared: "Dear distinguished guests, teachers, sponsors, fans and dear students!

First of all, on behalf of the Organizing Committee and Thanh Nien Newspaper, I would like to sincerely thank the presence of the leaders, delegates, guests, teachers, students and all the audiences present in the stands as well as the audiences watching through television channels and online platforms.

I warmly welcome the 11 student teams from all over the country, who have had a brave and proud journey in the regional qualifying rounds. You have excellently passed the screening, which can be said to be extremely harsh, to be present here with the host team Ton Duc Thang University to participate in the final round.

The Vietnam Youth Student Football Tournament has entered its third season, and is still following the successful path of the previous two seasons thanks to the close direction of the Central Secretariat of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Student Association; the close professional coordination of the VFF; and the enthusiastic response of students nationwide.

In 6 regions of the country, 66 teams participating in the qualifying round have contributed 101 matches with many different levels. There were matches where the place in the final round was only determined by a thrilling penalty shootout. There were matches where both the winner and the loser were in tears when the tension and emotions broke their endurance...".

Journalist Nguyen Ngoc Toan continued: "On behalf of the Organizing Committee, I would like to sincerely thank the dedication of the student football teams. The road to glory is still full of hardships, however, the Organizing Committee believes that the teams will have more motivation in this year's finals.

That is, the champion team of the third season will receive another prestigious prize: together with the host team - Ton Duc Thang University, representing Vietnamese students to compete in the 2025 International Student Youth Football Tournament - THACO Cup, which will take place from March 22 to 30, 2025, also at this stadium.

Together, we light up the dream of reaching the top. Together, we spread the love of football and develop school sports. Together, we contribute to creating a generation of healthy, talented, ambitious Vietnamese students, firmly entering the new era.

The 3rd Vietnam Youth Student Football Tournament in 2025 - THACO Cup will be a great success with the spirit of "Playing Fairly - Winning Fairly - Cheering Beautifully" throughout the first season of the tournament.
