Organized 27 medical examinations, provided free medicine and gave gifts

(CT) - On the morning of July 16, at Long Tuyen 2 Primary School, Hoa Hao - Medic Can Tho General Hospital coordinated with the People's Committee of Binh Thuy District to organize medical examinations and give gifts to policy families and poor households in 3 wards of Long Tuyen, Long Hoa and An Thoi. This activity was in commemoration of the 76th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2023). Major General Vu Cao Quan, former Commander of the Can Tho City Military Command, member of the Board of Directors of Hoa Hao - Medic Can Tho General Hospital; Comrade Tran Quoc Vu, Secretary of the Binh Thuy District Party Committee; Lieutenant Colonel Huynh Van Hung, Commander of the Can Tho City Military Command... attended.

Doctors from Hoa Hao - Medic Can Tho General Hospital and Binh Thuy District Medical Center examined and provided free medicine to 450 people. In addition, depending on the disease, doctors prescribed ultrasound, X-ray, electrocardiogram and blood sugar test... On this occasion, the hospital also visited and gave gifts to 450 people who came for medical examination and 105 families with difficult circumstances in 3 wards.

Comrade Le Phuoc Loi, Vice Chairman of Binh Thuy District People's Committee said: "Binh Thuy is a locality with a long revolutionary tradition. In the district, there are 625 martyrs, 579 wounded and sick soldiers, 90 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and 16 Heroes of the People's Armed Forces. The medical examination and treatment, medicine provision and gift giving activities of the medical team of Hoa Hao - Medic Can Tho General Hospital are very meaningful, demonstrating the tradition of "When drinking water, remember its source" and the morality of "repaying gratitude" of the nation.

Up to now, Hoa Hao - Medic Can Tho General Hospital has organized 27 medical examinations, provided medicine and gifts to 18,425 people in the country and Cambodia; presented 9,213 policy gifts, 560 scholarships to children of policy families, built 13 solidarity houses for veterans, and presented 150 health insurance cards; with a total cost of over 20 billion VND. During the COVID-19 outbreak, the hospital and Major General Vu Cao Quan personally contributed, mobilized, and presented 950 compressed oxygen tanks, 102,910 kg of liquid oxygen and medical equipment with a total value of 2 billion 678 million VND.
