On the morning of December 18th, the Provincial Youth Union, in coordination with the Organizing Committee of the Miss Tourism Ambassador Vietnam 2023 Contest, organized activities to launch the campaigns "Joining hands to protect the marine environment," "Supporting children to go to school," and "Meals for children."
Attending the event were Mr. Vu Van Tuan – Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department, Mr. Huynh Ngoc Tam – Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Ms. Vu Thi Ngoc Lien – President of the Provincial Association of Former Youth Volunteers, Mr. Nguyen Nam Long - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Phan Thiet City, and Ms. Tran Thi Hoa Xuan – Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union. Representing the Organizing Committee of the Miss Tourism Ambassador Vietnam Contest were Ms. Kim Thanh Thao – Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee and singer Nguyen Vu – a member of the judging panel; along with youth union members from Phan Thiet City and the contestants.
At the "Joining Hands to Protect the Marine Environment" campaign, aimed at contributing to the protection of a green, clean, and beautiful environment and creating conditions for urban landscape development at Thuong Chanh Beach Park (Phan Thiet City), the program organizers presented the "Clean Park - Green Environment" project to the local community. In addition, youth union members and contestants participating in the Miss Tourism Ambassador Vietnam 2023 competition cleaned up the environment on Thuong Chanh beach.
In particular, to commemorate the 79th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 – December 22, 2023) and to express gratitude for the immense contributions of the Youth Volunteer Force in the resistance war against foreign invaders as well as in the period of national construction and development, the program organizers presented 10 gifts, each worth 1 million VND, to 10 former Youth Volunteers in Phan Thiet City.
Concluding the "Joining Hands to Protect the Marine Environment" campaign at Thuong Chanh beach, the delegation continued to My Thanh commune (Ham Thuan Nam district) to organize activities such as "Supporting Children's Education" and "Meals for Children". Here, the program organizers awarded 10 scholarships, each worth 1 million VND, to poor and disadvantaged students at My Thanh Primary School and provided 1,000 meals for students at My Thanh Kindergarten.
These activities are in response to the 2023 National Tourism Year "Binh Thuan - Green Convergence," aiming to promote awareness and education to foster environmentally friendly behavior among young people in jointly building a green, clean, and beautiful environment; and jointly caring for and protecting children, especially children in ethnic minority areas.
