On the morning of December 18, the Provincial Youth Union coordinated with the Organizing Committee of the Miss Vietnam Tourism Ambassador Contest 2023 to organize the launching activities "Joining hands to protect the marine environment", "Helping children go to school" and "Meals for children".
Attending the event were Mr. Vu Van Tuan - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee, Mr. Huynh Ngoc Tam - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Ms. Vu Thi Ngoc Lien - President of the Provincial Association of Former Youth Volunteers, Mr. Nguyen Nam Long - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Phan Thiet City, Ms. Tran Thi Hoa Xuan - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union. On the side of the Organizing Committee of the Miss Vietnam Tourism Ambassador Contest, there were Ms. Kim Thanh Thao - Deputy Organizing Committee of the Contest and singer Nguyen Vu - Contest Judge; along with youth union members in Phan Thiet City and contestants participating in the contest.
At the launching event "Joining hands to protect the marine environment", in order to contribute to protecting the green - clean - beautiful environment and creating conditions for building the urban landscape at Thuong Chanh Beach Park (Phan Thiet City), the program's Organizing Committee presented the project "Clean campus - green environment" to the locality. In addition, youth union members and contestants participating in the Miss Vietnam Tourism Ambassador Contest 2023 cleaned up the environment on Thuong Chanh beach.
In particular, to celebrate the 79th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2023) and to express gratitude for the great contributions of the youth volunteer force in the resistance war against foreign invaders as well as in the period of national construction and development. The program's organizing committee presented 10 gifts, each worth 1 million VND, to 10 uncles and aunts who are former youth volunteers in Phan Thiet City.
After the launching activity "Joining hands to protect the marine environment" at Thuong Chanh beach, the delegation continued to My Thanh commune (Ham Thuan Nam district) to organize the activities "Helping children go to school" and "Meals for children". Here, the program's Organizing Committee awarded 10 scholarships, each worth 1 million VND, to poor students and those in difficult circumstances at My Thanh Primary School and supported 1,000 meals for students at My Thanh Kindergarten.
These are activities in response to the National Tourism Year 2023 "Binh Thuan - Green Convergence" to contribute to promoting propaganda and education to form awareness and environmentally friendly behavior of the young generation in joining hands to build a green - clean - beautiful environment; join hands to care for and protect children, especially children in ethnic minority areas.
