Meritorious Artist Vu Thang Loi performed the song "Hoan Kiem" by musician Giang Son for the first time.
“The Spirit of Thang Long, the Gallantry of Hanoi” brings the audience back to the present with the image of the Capital today through its position as the “center” of the country, the place where thousands of years of culture converge, the center of crystallization, the place where it absorbs, fertilizes and forms its own identity, clearly expressed through its gallantry and sophistication. For the first time on a large stage, the song “Hoan Kiem” by musician Giang Son (based on Nguyen Vinh Tien’s poem) was performed passionately, passionately, but also very generously by Meritorious Artist Vu Thang Loi. Since ancient times, Hanoi has been famous as a land of culture. The gallantry and elegance are expressed in the elegance, tactfulness and sophistication in behavior; liberal and elegant. Throughout history, the people of Hanoi have cultivated their own unique temperament: intellectual yet scholarly; a gallant scholar, elegant yet moderate, righteous yet benevolent. Originating from the idea of portraying the “soul” of Hanoi people through musical art, a special version of the song “Hanoi is sacred and gallant” was adapted into instrumental music performed by 70 artists from the National Orchestra of the Vietnam National Academy of Music.![]() |
70 artists performed the instrumental piece "Sacred and Glorious Hanoi".
Inspired by an ancient and cultured Hanoi, musician An Thuyen visualized the 36 streets of Hanoi as 36 strings of the Tam Thap Luc zither, from which he created "Hanoi Waves". The song concluded the special art program "Thang Long Spirit, Hanoi's Gallantry" with the image of the army returning to liberate the capital on October 10, 1954 on Long Bien Bridge and the joyful Hanoi girls welcoming them on The Huc Bridge. This subtle connection brought a complete finale to the grand, quality music night, a special art program opening the series of events celebrating the 70th anniversary of the liberation of the capital.Nhandan.vn
