A sand mine in Dien Ban town, Quang Nam province, has just been sold by a company in Da Nang for 370 billion VND. Meanwhile, the starting price was only 1.8 billion VND.

On the morning of October 18, at the Hall of Dien Ban Town People's Committee (No. 22 Hoang Dieu, Vinh Dien Ward, Dien Ban Town), Hoa Thuan Joint Stock Auction Company held an auction of mineral exploitation rights at the DB2B mine located in Dien Tho Commune (Dien Ban Town).

It is known that the auctioned sand mine has an area of ​​6.04 hectares, the approved planned reserve is 159,000 m3, starting price R = 5%, step price 0.8%. Enterprises participating in the auction must deposit 242.8 million VND in advance.

Notably, the starting price was set at 1.2 billion VND. However, after 20 hours and 200 rounds, at more than 4:00 a.m. on October 19, the auction ended with the closing price reaching 370 billion VND, at 1,500% of the starting price.

According to research, the winning enterprise is MT Quang Da Joint Stock Company (Khue Trung ward, Cam Le district, Da Nang city).

However, the Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Quang Nam province said that, in the immediate future, the industry has requested the Provincial People's Committee to direct Dien Ban town not to recognize the auction results and to review the entire auction process.

According to the reporter's records, the sand mine area belongs to Dien Tho commune, Dien Ban town, Quang Nam province.

This area is currently quite densely populated along Thu Bon, the main occupation is mainly agriculture .

A section of embankment along the sand mine area that was just auctioned has a broken plug phenomenon.

Many sections are still at risk of landslides.

The auction price is 153 times higher than the starting price of more than 1 billion VND, which many people worry will cause the price of construction materials to be disrupted, and the sudden increase will affect projects and constructions.
