TPO – Tu Lien Bridge and its approach roads have a total length of about 11.5 km, with a preliminary total investment of about 20,000 billion VND. If according to plan, Tu Lien will be the second cable-stayed bridge (after Nhat Tan Bridge) to be built in the capital. Construction is expected to begin at the end of 2025.

Recently, Vingroup Corporation sent a document to the Hanoi People's Committee proposing to participate in investing in the construction of Tu Lien Bridge under the Build-Transfer (BT) contract.

Tu Lien Bridge and the approach roads have a total length of about 11.5 km. Of which, Tu Lien Bridge is 2.9 km long, the main bridge is 1 km long, the cross-section ensures 6 lanes for motor vehicles, 2 mixed lanes and 2 pedestrian lanes... The bridge connects Nghi Tam Street area, near Thang Loi Hotel (Tay Ho District) with Dong Hoi Commune (Dong Anh District).

In January 2024, the Hanoi Department of Transport, Pacific Construction Group (China), and Vietnam Construction and Import-Export Joint Stock Corporation (Vinaconex) signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in investment research and construction of a number of key projects in the city, including the Tu Lien Bridge investment and construction project.

According to the report of the Hanoi Department of Transport, Tu Lien Bridge is a key traffic project, implemented in the period of 2021 - 2025. The Tu Lien Bridge project and the road from Tu Lien Bridge to Hanoi - Thai Nguyen Expressway have been assigned by the Hanoi People's Committee to prepare for investment under the public-private partnership (PPP) method. According to the plan, 6 new road bridges across the Red River will be built, including: Hong Ha, Me So on Ring Road 4 (scale of 6 express lanes, 2 mixed lanes); Thuong Cat and Ngoc Hoi on Ring Road 3.5 (6 motor lanes, 2 mixed lanes).
