The whole province has 12 growing areas granted export codes.

QTO - Recently, the Department of Agriculture and Environment has promoted the construction and management of growing area codes (GAPs) and packaging facility codes (PBAs) for agricultural products in the province. In 2025, the province has newly issued 9 domestic GAPs on rice, sweet potatoes, and grapefruit; 1 export GAP on bananas and 1 banana PBA code for export to the Chinese market.

Accordingly, the whole province currently has 69 MSVT with a total area of ​​over 3,300 hectares and 2 export CSDGs for crops such as rice, peanuts, green beans, citrus fruits, bananas, pepper, onions, an xoa, turmeric, lotus, lemongrass and various vegetables.

Of which, there are 12 MSVT for export, including 10 MSVT on banana trees (exported to the Chinese market) with an area of ​​nearly 2,310 hectares, 2 MSVT on rice trees (exported to the European market) with an area of ​​over 37 hectares. There are 2 banana CSĐGs that are granted codes for export to the Chinese market. 57 MSVT serve domestic use with an area of ​​1,056 hectares, of which, rice has 27 MSVT with 1,051 hectares, pepper has 4 MSVT with more than 75 hectares, and pepper has 3 MSVT with 8.5 hectares...

The Director of the Department of Cultivation and Plant Protection said: The establishment of MSVT and CSĐG codes not only meets the requirements of ensuring compliance with regulations on plant quarantine and food safety and hygiene, but also contributes to changing farming practices and raising farmers' awareness of responsible production.

In the coming time, to expand the growing areas granted MSVT for export, the Department of Agriculture and Environment will continue to fully update information to the national database on MSVT and CSĐG.

At the same time, fully allocate resources to serve the establishment and management of MSVT and CSĐG to meet regulatory requirements; coordinate with localities to strengthen guidance and professional training for people, businesses and local officials on the regulations of the importing country.

Strengthen inspection and examination after granting codes; proactively plan and establish growing areas and CSĐGs that are qualified to grant codes; promote and strictly control the connection between people and exporting units...
