100 years ago, on June 21, 1925, Thanh Nien Newspaper - the first revolutionary newspaper of Vietnam founded by leader Nguyen Ai Quoc - was born, laying the foundation for the revolutionary press of our country. After a century of birth and development, the Vietnamese revolutionary press has always been an effective tool to enlighten the people, promote the spirit of national self-reliance, democracy and social progress; a sharp weapon in the cause of fighting for independence, building and defending the Fatherland; an important factor contributing to the building of Vietnamese people and culture.
Speaking at the opening of the exhibition, journalist Pham Doan Anh Kiet, Executive Vice President of the Phu Yen Journalists Association, emphasized: “In the flow of history over the past 100 years, the press and the team of journalists in Phu Yen have been steadfast and creative, contributing to writing the heroic history of the homeland and country.
From the early days of the revolution to today's renovation and integration, Phu Yen press has always been a pioneering force on the ideological front, vividly reflecting the spirit of labor, fighting and building the homeland. Whether in the flames of war or in the renovation process, Phu Yen journalists always maintain their bravery and creativity, contributing to spreading the values of truth - goodness - beauty, encouraging patriotism and the desire for development.
The thematic exhibition “Vietnamese Revolutionary Press - A Century of Battle and Pride of Phu Yen Press” took place from June 2-21, with hundreds of artifacts and publications of special significance, thereby honoring the 100-year history of Vietnamese revolutionary press and 79 years of Phu Yen province's revolutionary press.
