Accordingly, at the headquarters of the People's Council and People's Committee of Ba Dinh District, General Secretary To Lam and other National Assembly delegates met with constituents to report on the results of the 8th Session of the 15th National Assembly. Also attending the meeting were Politburo member, Secretary of the Hanoi City Party Committee, and Head of the Hanoi City National Assembly Delegation Bui Thi Minh Hoai; and Central Committee member, Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi City Party Committee, and Chairman of the Hanoi City People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh. At the beginning of the meeting, constituents heard Lieutenant General Nguyen Quoc Duyet, Commander of the Hanoi Capital Command, report on the results of the 8th Session, and delegate Nguyen Phi Thuong, Director of the Hanoi Department of Transport, report on the responses to constituent requests from the previous meeting. General Secretary To Lam meets with voters in Hanoi. Photo: VNA At its 8th session, the 15th National Assembly passed 18 laws and 21 resolutions; and provided initial feedback on 10 draft laws. The National Assembly assigned the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, the Government, the Supreme People's Court, the Supreme People's Procuracy , and relevant agencies to promptly implement the laws and resolutions passed by the 15th National Assembly at its 8th session, ensuring a close connection between lawmaking and law enforcement, fairness, strictness, consistency, timeliness, effectiveness, and efficiency; to research, explain, and incorporate the opinions of National Assembly deputies to finalize the draft laws that have received feedback from the National Assembly; and to urgently prepare the contents to be submitted to the National Assembly at its 9th session, 15th term, ensuring quality and timeliness. At the same time, the Government directed relevant ministries and agencies to continue researching and comprehensively amending the Accounting Law, the State Budget Law, the Law on Management and Use of Public Assets, and the Tax Management Law, and to report to the National Assembly at the 9th Session in accordance with the conclusions of the Politburo, the Resolutions of the National Assembly, and Plan No. 81/KH-UBTVQH15 of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly. The National Assembly highly appreciated the decisive and effective direction, management, and implementation of tasks and solutions by the Government, the Prime Minister, ministries, agencies, and localities; and commended the efforts of the business community and all sectors of the population in basically completing and exceeding many targets and tasks for socio-economic development and the state budget in 2024. The National Assembly requests the Government, the Prime Minister, the Supreme People's Court , the Supreme People's Procuracy, the State Audit Office, ministries, central agencies, and local governments to thoroughly understand the requirements for innovation in the drafting and promulgation of legal documents. The National Assembly generally agrees with the Summary Report of opinions and recommendations from voters and the people submitted to the 8th Session of the 15th National Assembly, the Report on the results of monitoring the resolution and response to voter recommendations submitted to the 7th Session of the 15th National Assembly, and the Report on the results of receiving citizens, handling petitions and monitoring the resolution of complaints and denunciations submitted to the National Assembly in 2024; and highly appreciates the efforts of the Government, the Prime Minister, ministries, central agencies, and local governments in resolving and responding to voter recommendations and handling complaints and denunciations forwarded by National Assembly agencies in 2024.
