PV GAS is a member unit of Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PVN) operating in the gas industry, with main activities: Storage, transportation, import and distribution of gas products, including dry gas (Natural Gas - NG), liquefied petroleum gas (Liquefied Petroleum Gas - LPG), compressed natural gas (CNG) and liquefied natural gas (LNG).

LNG is a low-emission, environmentally friendly form of energy. With its unique advantages, LNG has the potential to gradually replace traditional energy sources of industrial production households including: Coal, fuel oil, diesel..., as well as supplement domestic gas sources currently being exploited, most of which have entered a period of decline.

PV GAS has completed the construction of infrastructure ready for LNG import and export and trading, with the Thi Vai LNG Port Warehouse Project ready to be put into use this year. The project includes: The LNG warehouse completed in phase 1 has a capacity of 180,000m3 ^of LNG, with a capacity of 1 million tons of LNG/year; phase 2 is expected to increase the capacity to 3 million tons of LNG/year. The LNG import port is capable of receiving LNG ships with a capacity of up to 100,000 DWT and the LNG export station by tanker truck will also be completed soon at the same time as the Thi Vai LNG Warehouse trial run. Other component projects are also being accelerated, all reaching the completion milestone such as the Thi Vai-Phu My LNG gas pipeline project, the Thi Vai pressure reduction station project...

With the Ministry of Industry and Trade officially granting the Certificate of Eligibility for LNG Export and Import Traders on May 5, 2023, PV GAS is the first unit to trade LNG in Vietnam, marking a new development step of PV GAS in the field of gas business.

To achieve today's achievements, PV GAS has always received great attention and support from the Government , Ministries/branches and Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group, especially the prompt and timely direction and support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade - the unit that grants the Certificate of eligibility for LNG export and import traders.

The certificate of eligibility for LNG export and import traders once again affirms PV GAS' leading position and pioneering role in the Vietnamese gas industry.
