On the evening of March 28th, at Hung Vuong Square, the Organizing Committee of the Hung Vuong Ancestor Commemoration Day 2025 (Year of the Snake) held a dress rehearsal for the opening art program of the Hung Temple Festival and the Ancestral Land Culture and Tourism Week 2025 (Year of the Snake).
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Huy Ngoc attended and directed the dress rehearsal.
Attending and directing the event were Comrade Nguyen Huy Ngoc – Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Organizing Committee for the Hung Kings Commemoration Day and the Ancestral Land Culture and Tourism Week in the Year of the Snake 2025; and leaders of several provincial departments and agencies.
With the theme "Echoes of the Ancestral Roots," the opening art program of the Hung Temple Festival and the Ancestral Land Culture and Tourism Week in the year of the Snake 2025 featured the participation of over 300 artists and performers from dance troupes and art groups of Phu Tho province, as well as students from schools in Viet Tri city.

The art program is the opening activity, kicking off a series of cultural, sports, and tourism events in the Hung Kings Commemoration Day and the Ancestral Land Culture and Tourism Week in the year of the Snake 2025. Through artistic performances, the aim is to educate about the tradition of "drinking water, remembering the source," contributing to strengthening national unity, building and developing Vietnamese culture and people to meet the requirements of sustainable national development. At the same time, it promotes and honors the cultural values of the Hung Kings era and the intangible cultural heritage of humanity, linked to the promotion and development of tourism. This is also an opportunity to introduce the cultural heritage, natural landscapes, and people of the ancestral land of the Hung Kings.
The opening art program of the Hung Temple Festival and the Ancestral Land Culture and Tourism Week in the year of the Snake 2025 featured the participation of over 300 artists and performers.
During the dress rehearsal, members of the Organizing Committee and the Art Council contributed ideas regarding stage design, sound effects, lighting, and background screens for the performances. They also suggested revisions and additions to the costumes and props of the performers to ensure both solemnity and reverence, while also honoring cultural and artistic values.
Deputy Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Huy Ngoc requested the program director to adjust and supplement some necessary content based on the suggestions of the Organizing Committee members so that the art program would be truly spectacular, grand, elaborate, and create a positive impression on the people and tourists attending. The opening art program of the Hung Temple Festival and the Ancestral Land Culture and Tourism Week in the year of the Snake - 2025 will take place from 7:50 PM to 9:35 PM on March 29, 2025 (corresponding to the 1st day of the 3rd lunar month).
