Summary of activities of the Creative Youth Award in the Army for the period 2020-2025

On June 15, the Ministry of National Defense held a summary of 5 years of the Creative Youth Award (TTST) in the Army, period 2020-2025, and presented the 25th TTST Award in the Army.

Attending the summary were Senior Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Standing Member of the Central Military Commission, Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army (VPA); members of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Ministers of National Defense: Senior Lieutenant General Le Huy Vinh, Senior Lieutenant General Pham Hoai Nam, Lieutenant General Nguyen Hong Thai...

In recent years, the Youth Creativity movement and the TTST Award in the Army have been organized and implemented seriously, closely and effectively. The entire army has had hundreds of thousands of works and initiatives at the grassroots level; of which, in the 2020-2025 period, there were 3,476 works (an increase of 27.5% compared to the 2015-2020 period) by more than 10,000 authors and groups of authors participating in the competition at the army level. Among them, there are many particularly important projects, proposing new, advanced, modern technical solutions, applying digital transformation, artificial intelligence; basic research, mastering core technology; some projects propose new solutions on revolutionary idealeducation , training ethics, lifestyle, ideological struggle, theory, contributing significantly to the successful implementation of political tasks of agencies and units. The projects have benefited the army by hundreds of billions of dong; brought practical effects in command, training, combat readiness, contributing practically to building a revolutionary, disciplined, elite, modern army, promoting the cause of industrialization and modernization of the country.

In particular, the 25th Military TTST Award, the entire army had 820 works (315 topics, 505 initiatives) of 2,188 authors participating, an increase of 35 works and 2 focal units compared to the 24th Award; with 12 specialties. The specialized councils conducted appraisal and evaluation of the works to ensure strictness and objectivity.

Speaking at the award ceremony, General Phan Van Giang affirmed that over the years, the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense, and leaders and commanders of agencies and units throughout the army have always paid attention to, led, directed, and created favorable conditions for young people in the army to participate in research, development, and effective application of science and technology, and digital transformation in military and defense activities.

Emphasizing the current and future development of the military building task, requiring the entire army to make drastic breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and digital transformation, and enhancing national defense potential, General Phan Van Giang requested Party committees and commanders of agencies and units throughout the army and the Award Council to continue to thoroughly grasp and seriously implement the Party's viewpoints, guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, resolutions and directives of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense on science and technology and youth work. It is necessary to have a correct perception and consider the development of science and technology, innovation and digital transformation as one of the top important breakthroughs, a pioneering spearhead contributing to building a revolutionary, disciplined, elite and modern army; in which, the youth of the army is one of the important forces to promote the development and application of science and technology.

Minister of National Defense Phan Van Giang requested that Party committees and commanders at all levels need to strengthen leadership and direction, promote the "Young Creativity" movement and the TTST Award in the Army; strive to have more and more projects with scientific and practical value in the coming years, which are applied more effectively. Focus on promoting the role of Party committees, political commissars, political officers, commanders, political agencies, military science agencies, and youth organizations at all levels in leading, directing, and organizing the implementation of the TTST Award activities and resolutely and effectively implementing the mechanisms and policies issued by the Party, State, Central Military Commission, and Ministry of National Defense.

On this occasion, the Ministry of National Defense awarded Certificates of Merit to 16 collectives and 24 individuals with outstanding achievements in 5 years of organizing and participating in the award (2020-2025 period) and awarded collectives, authors, and groups of authors with achievements in participating in the 25th Military TTST Award.
